i enjoyed reading it here too, i think i am gonna give it 4 stars because it gives me different perspective of life and silent battles against diseases but i agree with u that something was missing or not complete.. i had a mobi copy and i read it on my Kindle. i highly recommend reading english book in an electronic form like mobi or epub
yes but it's not just about death sadness it's the stages befor death...i think terminal diseases specially cancer first, divide patients from their surrounding because people automatically treat them differently then next stage is dealing with the idea of death and the burden of recognition that the patient will hurt the people he loves and lastly, the humiliation when his body turns against him and he feels he is so weak and vulnerable! i think the moral pain of cancer exceeds its physical pain especially in this age

yes i think it's awful, and i think knowing they might die soon is not the worst problem but knowing they are causing so much pain for the ones they love is the worst ache
this is a phrase i like and it is so true not only in the case of cancer but also in lots of diseases and disabilities "I could feel everybody watching us, wondering what was wrong with us, and whether it would kill us, and how heroic my mom must be, and everything else. That was the worst part about having cancer, sometimes: The physical evidence of disease separates you from other people."

hey guys am i reading alone??? I've finished chapter 5, anyway what do you think of the main characters? i find Isaac's experience a v. horrible one how can someone go in an operation he knows it'll render him blind...
i started reading, i like the way the subject is presented,Hazel is not a strong and brave girl, she is a teenager whose years of fun have been robbed from her. ok.... good start
