I'm reading an interesting autobiography, Slave: my true story by Mende Nazer. When she a was a child - in 1993 - she was kidnapped from her village by Arab raiders and sold as a slave.
I just finished reading the forgotten beasts of eld by Patricia A. McKillip. It was a very good and character driven fantasy novel. :)
Yay! I'll be reading Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. I've been meaning to get to that for forever! Now, just as soon as I finish Dracula...I'm a few chapters away from finishing it :).
I'd been meaning to read this for a long while. So, I guess 12 is close enough to teen and about a year goes by anyway.
I've already finished it: I thought The Giver was very good! It didn't really make any profound statements to me but I found it to be very emotional.
I just joined and I'm already reading Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne. It started out in England, does that count?
Hi! I'm Mariah, 17, USA. I was just browsing for an active book club and this one seemed so perfect: read-by-theme is brilliant! Can't wait :)
