Okay, I just finished A Midsummer Night's Dream (the original and the modern translation) and I have to say that I can't believe I've never read it before. I absolutely Loved it! I read Shakespeare in school, but I don't think I really appreciated it. I think I'm going to re-read some of his works to see if I like them better now.

I have worked in a library for over 11 years. I love my job and my library. I have owned a Kindle for several years. My husband and daughters have them. My co-workers all have them. We all continue to read print books, as well as ebooks. My library will be joining a consortium of ebooks this summer. We do not believe that our jobs are in jeopardy anytime soon. To us, it's just more ways to get people reading. :D

-Break out of your comfort zone and read your least favorite genre
-Ugliest cover you can find or Most beautiful

I'm so happy. I finished this book before the end of the month. I almost gave up on it (I've been known to do that), but it ended up being mildly interesting. I genuinely did not like a majority of the characters, but I can definitely see people in these situations acting this way. I don't regret reading it, but I wouldn't read it again. I'm not sure if I would read anything else by this author.

Okay, so I was trying to pick out a Blue Book yesterday and I asked a co-worker if he had read a certain book. He said that he had read it and it was boring. I told him I needed to find a book to read with a blue cover and he wanted to know why. I told him that I had joined a book group on Goodreads and that we read books by theme. My Director overheard our conversation and she was very interested in the idea. I think we are going to start a library-wide theme book group at our library. I'm very excited!

I've decided to read The Elegance of the Hedgehog. I started reading it while I was sitting at the circulation desk at work.We'll see how it goes.

I know exactly what you mean. I am a moody person and even my reading habits are influenced by my moods. I usually try to give a book 2 chances if it's something I really want to read.

Okay, so the copy that GoodReads is showing doesn't have a bird on the cover, but mine does. I promise! This is about a step-family in England and the way being a "Step" affects each person. Being a Step-mother, myself, (even though I prefer "the other mother") I was curious about this one.

I've read this series and I really enjoyed it.

I'm Cindy, I live in small-town Indiana and I just turned 41 (gasp!). I love the concept behind this book group. I work in a library and since I am constantly surrounded by books I sometimes find it difficult to choose just one. (I'm usually reading 2 or 3 at a time). I also feel that life is too short to read bad books, so if I start a book and after a few chapters I just can't get into it, I just walk away from it and pick up something new. This group will give me the freedom to pick my own book (yay!) and not confine me to one that is chosen for me.
