I'm reading The Emperor of Portugallia by the Swedish author Selma Lagerlöf. I'm reading it for Swedish class and thought the titel fulfilled the criteria for weirdness.
This is a great book. I can't really explain why I love it, I just do. I'm looking forward to read the third book in the series, I was a bit upset when the book release was post-poned.
Finally I've found à book I want to read! I found The Saffron Kitchen hiding in my mother's bookshelf so I borrowed it. I've read a few pages and so far I'm really enjoying it.
For this month I'm going to read i Swedish book I sadly can't find on Goodreads. It's about the food industry and all the weird artificial things you can find in food. I've heard that there are some things in the book that will really make you think about what is actually in your food.
I just realized that the difference in time is huge for all of us. Where I am the time is half past two, in the middle of the night. And it's 2 January. Fascinating! I must say that nothing beats a real paper book. Even though I so appreciate having books on my phone, I'd rather turn physical pages.

The problem is I have a hard time getting into the classics because of the writing style of some of them...."A book I recommend is Pride & Prejudice. I don't know if you have already read it but if you haven't, it's a good read.

I would! Thank you, I had completely forgotten about it. The only problem is that I have to find it in the librarywhich could prove to be tricky.

I was actually going to read To Kill a Mockingbird anyways so now I just have an excuse for reading it now!I haven't really gotten to it.
So, I looked through your list and found Eat, Pray, Love which I thought was a good book. Otherwise you could read Around the World in Eighty Days.
I just read One Day and I loved it an d I really recommend it. I know there has been both good and bad critique about this book and the intreresting thing is that everyone seems to see different things in this book. Personaly, I think the character portraits in the book are fantastic, I feel like I have known the two protagonsits Emma and Dexter all my life, like I'm the third friend.
