Wow, that's so great! I also saw someone comment that airports are one of the best places to install solar energy farms, because they always have huge amounts of vacant land right in the middle of built up areas. I think that's a great point, and I wonder why more people don't think of it. Of course, I didn't think of it either, until it was pointed out. :P I hope Cochin International Airport will get a lot of publicity, and inspire others to follow their example.
I suppose my definition of solarpunk is radically different from that of the group, as I expected to read a story set in a significantly different society - one where our current ecological and social/societal problems have been solved in a sustainable way. This book is more a roadmap to that place. It's a book about change, but that also means it's a book about fighting and struggling and being against something. I hope there are solarpunk books that show what society can be after that change has happened.I only recently joined the group and haven't read this book yet, but from what I've heard of solarpunk, my expectation is the same as yours, so I hope that there will be more books of that sort!
