71315 I think the hardest part of writing The Weight of Night, originally, was Keats. In the first draft of the story, the toughest piece of feedback I received from beta readers and critiques was that Keats was "unlikeable" for some reason. They thought he was just too weak to be paired with Alexis, who (if you've read the book, you know) is as far from passive as they come. So, having to really go in and find that "true Keats" was a bit of a challenge. I needed him to be someone Alexis would trust implicitly, but also to be someone who wouldn't take her guff.

As for the most rewarding part? Well, I guess that would be, afterwards, hearing how much people adored Keats in the final book. Honestly, I think he might have become more popular than Alexis, herself!

When it comes to Red Tome, the next in the series, I think the hardest part is ensuring that everyone gets equal page-time. There are some standout characters that are going to be showing up and it will be a bit of a balancing act to keep all of those gods and demigods in line! :o)

71315 Let's get this party started! I've just released the Special Edition of The Weight Of Night with two additional tales of the Progeny. We've had some sci-fi published this year as well.

So give it to me, folks...ask me anything.
