hi here is my review of Each Peach Pear PlumbEach Peach Pear Plumb by Janet and Allan Ahlberg
This book is about finding the characters from the story rhyme on the pictures presented in the book. The book is a rhyme. For example the first page says ‘Each peach pear plumb I spy Thomas Thumb’. There is a picture on the same page of trees with Thomas thumb hiding in them. So the reader has to spot Thomas out within the image. The rhymes all come from traditional stories e.g. the three bears, baby bunting, Jack and Jill etc.
This book would be suitable for an independent read as the reader could search the images at their own pace and find the characters in the story.
This book would help develop rhyming skills, counting skills as well as visual and memory skills.
