I read "Their Eyes Were Watching God" and "How The Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents" for my summer reading. I chose the first one because I thought it would be a good book and show some of the history of Florida seeing as that was where I am from. I chose the second book because I needed a second book and good not sit down and make myself read some of the other books. I honestly loved both books and was happy that those were the ones I chose an I would definitely recommend both books.

I read the book "The Uglies" because one of my friends suggested it. The book was an opening to a new serries where everyone has surgery to become pretty when they turn 16. The main character Tally Youngblood had always dreamed about having the surgery and ending up in New Pretty Town with her friend Paris until he finds a new friend, Shay. I liked this book although at the beginning it took me a while to get into. The last half was so good that I ended up reading on the band bus to the games and competitions. I would definitely recommend this book probably for teenagers and young adults because the characters are around 15-18 most of the time it makes it easy to understand and read.
