If you are interested in pricing (as many people are) it is very difficult to judge without first working on a sample. Everyone is different but to give you an idea, on average, I charge $5.50 per 1k words. If English is your second language it will probably be more, if your MS is fairly clean it may be less.

This price is specifically for Goodreads self-publishing authors and is a time-limited offer as I am working on my APC with Society for Editors and Proofreaders(Sfep) and they require a certain amount of hours spent proofreading or proof-editing to move up their grading system. But I am still a long way from filling my quota so please send me your work!

I am a qualified proofreader and copy editor, so after 10K there would be a charge, which is dependent on entirely upon whether your MS needs these services and how much, but 10K should be enough for me to get a feel for your novel also, and to see if we are the right fit for each other to take this further, if need be. Please, please please, when you write your blurb in a service folder can you start a new topic!! Click on the folder heading and click new topic top right!. This gives you your own thread, where people who are interested in your services can ask question or comment!
I cannot move your comments myself only delete them. SO please if you have already posted, do it again, start a new topic, and delete your old blurb. This is happening because the board is so empty at the moment. Just teething problems that will work themselves out. Thank you all

Does anyone know how to pin a post in groups as I want to stick some info to the start of each folder

As no one has been brave enough so far Im gonna put my first novel up here. Like a lot of people on KDP I published it so I could get my friends to read it. It has not been edited or proofread as I am in the process of writing the sequel. I dont doubt it needs it, but I have done the best I can on my own. I will kick things off but putting up my book for review and offering my services as a proofreader and editor, but unlike some groups I will not be pinning myself to the first heading in each section! I am an author of one and a half books(currently) and recently qualified as a proofreader and editor with Proofed Inc. and a compulsive reader of science fiction and horror.
