Super excited about the number of family members and friends that have joined this club and have committed to making more time for reading! For my birthday, I recently asked each of my family members to buy a book from their local businesses, and to put a note in it for when I'm ready to read it! These books are sourced from my TBR or recommendations that they have for me. This can be a fun way to add more meaningful books to your shelf, so I completely recommend!
I also wanted to check in and here what everyone has been reading!
Hi Darla! Goodreads only lets you track your progress with reading. All the books that you see can be checked out of your local library, bought at a local bookstore, or read on Kindle Unlimited. They provide an Amazon link with each book listed on Goodreads for purchase!
Hi everyone! I hope you guys have had a productive reading month so far! I know I have. Mainly for my classes, though, not much for personal reading time. I started reading both the Bling Ring novel by Nancy Jo Sales and Binding 13 by Chloe Walsh.
On top of that, my Law professor is sure to be on us about legal studies readings and American law, so it's non-stop! Hey, no complaints.
Wishing you guys well, I'd love to hear about what books you're into right now!
Hi everyone!I have been a bit busy with the return to school and campus activities, but trust I have been keeping up with my reading goals! I am about to finish 1984 by George Orwell, which was an extremely relevant read in this political climate. I completely recommend.
I put out a poll over a week ago about the type of genre you want to read for February, and it has been a mixed bag! I think for next month it is a free read, but I'd like it if you guys would post updates on how you feel about the book!
I personally will be reading Archer's Voice! Let me know if you do the same so we can discuss it :)
Happy Reading!
Hi everyone!I’ve been somewhat offline from Goodreads this week, out of town for a family wedding…BUT I have been keeping up with my reading goals at the airport, on the plane, long car rides, and even on my way to the wedding in full glam!
What I’m trying to stress is, as challenging and busy our lives are, it’s so easy to find downtime throughout the week (even just 10-15 minutes) to pick up a book.
If you read 30 pages a day, and your book has 200 pages, it will take you about a week to finish! Your goals are closer than they seem, and I’ll give you a tip that I use:
When I’m having a hard time staying focused on a book, I set a timer on my phone (one hour, 30 minutes, or even 10 minutes) to allow myself to settle into a book. If I’m not feeling in the mood for reading after that timer, I allow myself to put it down. Most times I get in the groove and refuse to move away from it!
I hope that you guys are finding time for your goals, and if you haven’t already, go vote on our page for what book genre you want us to read at the beginning of February!
Happy Reading!

Hi guys! If you're new to Goodreads, I encourage you to check out some of the unique features:
- Tracking book progress
- Shelves (want to reads, read)
- Status updates
- Reading Challenges
I would really like everyone to take the time this week to check out the reading challenges and make a mental note of your goals.
How many pages would you ideally read a week?
What books have you heard about that have really appealed to you?
What genres are you familiar with or want to expand on?
Where is your favorite place to read/unwind?
When is the best time for you to read?
We could introduce ourselves and the books we've been meaning to read!
I'll go first:
I ideally want to read for 30 minutes to an hour a night
I am currently reading 1984 by George Orwell (super invested)
My favorite genres are: sci-fi, romance, political fiction, and fantasy.
On my to-read list, I have Archer's Voice, Slaughterhouse Five (RR), The Silent Patient, and Sex & World Peace.
Please share your goals if you are comfortable! I would love to see what everyone is interested in.
Hi everyone! Thank you so much for joining. Comments will be open and turned on for everyone to ask for book suggestions, discuss, or ask for overall advice when it comes to reading.
I think I will post a monthly read that I will personally commit to, whether or not you read along is completely optional! I would also love if you guys suggest a read in comments or in public posts, all I ask is that we stay respectful and remember that we are all trying to better ourselves :)
More to come hehehehehe
