I liked Abdul, he worked hard and made the most of a bad situation. I strongly disliked the one-legged woman. Through the beginning of the book, I wondered what it was that had happened to her, and when I eventually learned, I found her to be completely reprehensible!

I walked by three large bins of trash/food in the cafeteria yesterday and thought about how valuable these would be to the scavengers of Annawadi.
