That book 'Relic' looks quite good. Sounds as though you're enjoying it.
I've finished The Santangelos (a good trashy read) and started The Dead Women Of Juárez. Only a few pages in so not sure what to expect. I think I'll go back and finish off Slob before I read anymore.
I went to a book sale today at one of the local churches, a bit busier than it was last year which was good. I managed to get 26 books, it's open for another 2 weeks so I'll probably go a few more days as they were putting out more books as people were browsing.
Any new books for you 2?
Hi Justin, good to see you on here. I wondered what had happened to you.I'm okay just now, so sick of what's happening in the UK just now, this lockdown is just never-ending.
I just finished Savage Season by Joe R Lansdale and moved on The Santangelos by Jackie Collins (don't judge me, 😁)
Hi Matt. Didn't see your post till now. I'm not on GR a lot now, not sure about Justin. This group wasn't getting a lot of activity well before that.
Not sure how much I'll be on GR atm but happy to chat, I've lost my reading mojo over the last year which has definitely not helped.
Oh dear, only 1 suggestion. I'm not sure it's worth setting up a group read. Might be better just to do a buddy read.
I'll leave it another couple of days to see if there's any more suggestions.
Hi everyone,Let’s try and get some great suggestions for our next group read.
I’ll put up a poll next weekend.
Thanks, guys. Things are going okay for me just now. I started my job a few weeks ago and it's been tough but hopefully will get easier.
How is everyone else going?
Was thinking about putting up a thread for a July group read. Is anyone interested in this???
It went really well, pussy cats got over okay, all my belongings made it to the UK, bought a car and a house and should be starting a new job in the next few weeks. Now it's time to get back into some reading.
Hi all,Sorry I've been AWOL for the last few months. I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the life changes over the last few months and haven't been that active in my reading or participation in anything online. I feel a bit more settled now in my new home so will try and get things going with the group reads again.
I think I will skip May for group read and start them again in June if that's okay. In the meantime it looks as though some of you have been having a great time buddy reading so perhaps we can get a few buddy reads going.

Hi everyone,It's time to put our thinking caps on and put up some books for our Feb read.
No theme, so nominate whatever you like on your TBR.
I"ll leave the thread up til the 20th Jan and then put a poll up with the intention of starting the group read on the 4th Feb.
Happy posting! :)
Okay, I'm going comment as I think all those who were reading it are finished.I certainly enjoyed it, I thought most of the characters were well done and that the story, although it's a trope that's been done a fair bit, didn't feel tired or boring especially the last half.
As much as I love a brutally realistic storyline I can't help feeling bummed that none of them got out alive (I'm going to assume that Jane lost the plot as soon as she knew she was going back into the belly of the beast). That made the story almost too dark but I do admire the author for doing it and I thought it was a nice twist.
What did everyone else think?

Complete the A-Z challenge by reading books whose first letter correspond with the alphabet. You can use book titles, authors or both is you want.Don't stress about the harder letters, just have the letter in the title.
Have Fun!! :D
I sucked at this on the 2017 challenge but I like the idea of the challenge so I'm going to do it again in 2018 and try and knock off 15 from my TBR.0/15
1. (636)Health Agent
Go to the following page http://www.random.org/integers/Step 1. Add in how many books you want to read off your TBR.
Step 2. Put in the values for your TBR e.g. 1 and 950.
Step 3. Get numbers
Step 4. Check the numbers against your TBR list on GR, the corresponding numbers from the list are the books you will read for the challenge.
Step 5. Post your books here and update as you get through your list.
Have fun :)
For those that like doing their own challenges, this one lets you set your own goals and decide what sort of challenge/s you'll participate in for the coming year.Your own TBR, audiobooks, classic reads or graphic novels, lots of ways to work this challenge.
