I really love Elaine Cunningham and Lisa Smedmen for the female characters in their drow books. They're varied and it doesn't feel 'hamfisted' at all. The women are strong and weak. They're real, and to me, that's what's important. They're flawed and interesting characters with fantastic back stories and personalities.

I think that's always going to be the most important thing for me. Not 'strong' characters but... strongly written characters.

I've still been playing Animal Crossing and Pikmin. It's great for my super short attention span lately!
