Not All Of Me Is Dust Winner of the Blue Ink star for outstanding literary merit: when Jesuit priest and poet Stephen Engle follows the call to serve among the poorest of the poor, he becomes a witness to one of the twentieth century's unforgettable moments. "I wish there was a 10 star rating." (Goodreads Giveaway Winner) A story of the sacred and the secular, of love and separation, of loss and recovery: a story of Easter. I'm doing a giveaway of my book Monday March 20th!
Faith, this is referring to a post you made quite a while ago: are you familiar with C.S. Lewis’s delightful remark, “You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.”
Hannah, don't ever give up. There's a little book about writing by Anne Lamott that I wish you could read, called Bird By Bird. Lamott gives constructive advice about opening sentences, how to write dialogue, etc., but most importantly, she is a genius at keeping up a writer's spirits. A piece of advice from this corner: find authors whose work you love, and study them to find out why you love them. Then, go back and look at your writing and see where you might improve. But don't give up.
