I have the same feeling too, that Tanith will be cured because they DO have Dr Nye on their side and he can do almost anything (with some kind of a payment, and he is really fussy about those as we may know). I hope she gets cured, but it is impossible, i mean come on, it would be pretty silly if all of a sudden Nye is able to do these kind of things or someone else out there who can take a Remenant out. As for Chine, mhm...yeah, she'd die. Skul will kill her, i have this gutting feeling she is going to feel it hard. Once he gets his hands on her....*waves to Chine*.
But people change, so maybe...i dunno.
Predicting the ending yes i know Landy said that he does not know weather it is a happy or sad ending so y'know, i hope its an in-betweener. The series end, yes, that is sad. But come on, if both Val and Skul die...then im going to end up breaking something like my hand :P
So on, i really hope that Derek pulls up some kind of a 'happy' ending for everyone, happy in their own rights, but not happy as in: OH, THE HEROES THEY ALWAYS WIN! YAY THE BAD GUYS ARE DEAD!
Y'know if it was that kind of an ending where everything seems fine, but then the cliffhanger appears where there is the BIGGEST of all bad guys still out there? Undercover all that time? Whoa, that would really kill us, i mean, how many books do that? Very few, leaving us drenched with thoughts as to what might happen now.
I would love that kind of an ending, some bad guy out there still, and we have to decided in our own minds what will happen :)
Anwyay, back to doing my homework...
Right, reading these Skulduggery Pleasant books, i have realised that they contain allot of mythical creatures, from Sea Hags to werewolves and octopus people and so on and so forth. Is this the only novel that contains so many different ranges of fantasy? From what i once thought would be a skeleton man and a girl, to zombies and then vampires and wolves and without-body people. It is mystifying that, out of the blue, Derek Landy sticks in new things one book after the other.
Also, what will become of China Sorrows? Tanith Low? Valkyrie Cain? Oh and, Skulduggery Pleasant himself?
With all these new creatures approaching, im not sure how Derek himself will cook up to the works and fix the puzzle.
Till then, what can we 'predict' about the end?
