75734 I was also disappointed with the Hunger Games movie, the book was so intense and emotionally driven in a way that just was not captured in the film. I felt it was a good movie and if I hadn't read the book I would have just been like "yeah that was pretty good" but having read the book, which was excellent the movie could have been amazing.

Also, I found the shaky camera work that was used so much especially in the beginning was really distracting and unnecessary. I understand that they were trying to give the impression of a "whirlwind effect" but it was counterproductive. All that really happened is the audience was left nauseated with headaches trying to interpret the blurs as all the wasted money spent on what I imagine were incredible costumes, makeup and sets in the capitol went zooming across the screen in indistinguishable blobs.
