76567 "We are profoundly relational beings who have been living - with some difficulty - in anti-relational (mechanistic) systems of thought and ways of doing things."

Do you relate? What does this mean, exactly, in your life? What are the quotes from the book that really resonate with you?

The premise of the book, in a nutshell, is stated above, and its packed with studies to prove it. It takes the long way around the bush, but ultimately shows how women are stronger in perceiving relational implications, thinking in patterns, as opposed to men, who tend to see things in isolation, categorized into boxes as if separate. The ability to see relationships and think in those terms when organizing people is a huge advantage that has not been fully realized because women have been demeaned for the very strengths that might provide them, inherently, with better leadership skills than men.

This is my perception of what Spretnak is saying, but what do you think? Do you agree? With or without having read the book, do you think this is possible or interesting?
