The title of my book is called The Pact and it is written by Drs. Sampson Davis, George Jenkins, and Rameck Hunt. I am currently on page 133 out of the 239 pages in the book. This book has various setting because it is written by three different people and they each talk from their own point of view. However, the two setting they mostly talk about is a college school and the "ghetto" neighborhood they once lived in. These setting are big impacts on the story because they show how three black males grew up in a dangerous neighborhood full of drugs and violence and made it out of there to become successful and talented doctors. This shows how the setting created an impact on the story.
the book i am reading is called the pact by george jenkins rameck hunt and sampson davis. im on page 105 out of 239. in the story the point of view changes in each chapter. in the first couple of chapter it off as George after him is Rameck then Sampson. while in their point of view they talk about their childhood and how they had the courage and heart to make it in their career as doctors. this is my second book for ssr
The book i have read for ssr are two book The Absolutely True Diary of An Indian and currently i am reading the book called the Pact i am page 239.this book is about how 3 friends become successful by not being influenced by their bad surrounding. the lesson they are trying to teach in this story is to always be above the influence and do your best even around your surroundings. now that i start reading more for ssr i have started enjoying ssr because i want to read my book and find more interesting thing about it.

the book I'm still reading for SSR is the absolute true diary of a part time Indian by Sherman Alexie. I'm now on page 202 of 280. During my time reading the book I had found a text-to-self event happening in the book. Arnold tries to make the cut for the basketball team and he faces the biggest and strongest player on the team. I remember when I was in middle school in 6th grade, I tried out for the basketball team and I had to face one-on-one with the best player that was already on the team. another I found was text-to-world because Arnold faced up against his old school for a second time because the first time they played they got blown out. This happens around the world because in the NBA when a team get blown out by another team they want revenge and play them again so they can blow them out.

Wassup yo i'm still reading that same book i'm starting to like that book now. Guess what, i'm on page 90, that a jump since last time. So basically i see the two conflicts going on. One of it is that the main character junior goes to this new white school ( i wouldn't like that either) he doesn't know nobody and that conflict is man vs. society. another conflict was that when he left his neighborhood school, his bestie boy Rowdy was so mad he punched Junior right in his face. Junior was girls and stayed there on the ground like a weirdo. That conflict was between man vs. man. So like i can't wait to read it again and my young bull Jimmy Nie trying to read it too. He seen some of the words on the book LOL. We might book swap when we done reading our own books.

This Greg, i never knew the only reason Ali stated fighting was because he got his bike stolen. Now i understand where he comes from
The book i am reading is called "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian". the book I'm reading has exactly 230 pages. I'm on page 26, that bad i got to start reading more. So basically the book is about a teen boy named Junior. he is like retarded because when he was born he had brain damage. His family is so poor, and i mean they barely have anything to eat each day. And everyday at school he get bullied for what he is and that his head is extra huge. The only friends he had was his best friend at school Rowdy, and his dog, Oscar. However his dog was dying of starvation and his father killed him with his shotgun. So now he has only Rowdy talk to and he get lonely because of that. So that where I'm at so far.
