When I started reading this novel I found it difficult to get into the writing style, after reading I actually enjoyed it. In this section we see that Saba’s very stubborn and she tries anything to find her brother, Laugh. She has a little sister that she doesn’t like. She thinks she’s always come in her way. Along the way Saba and her little sister face brutal circumstances on their quest to find their kidnapped brother.

This section of the novel is gloomy because after Saba faces so many tragedy one after another, what I like about her character is that she doesn’t give up, she picks herself up and stands strong to what she believes.

I really enjoyed reading this last section of the novel because everything gets back to normal. Saba, Laugh and Amy they all get together. I really enjoyed reading this novel, although in the beginning it was slow ,later on I got so into the novel that I couldn't put it down until I finished reading it.

The book that I chose to read is “Blood Red Road” by Moira Young. The book piqued my interest because when I first saw it, the title really stood out to me; it seemed like it had something to do with a murder mystery or some sort of crime. In the background there are a few mountains. I think it probably means that the protagonist overcomes a lot of hardship in the book because the mountains represent problems. The protagonist look like she is on a journey, walking against the wind, as if she has the courage and perservance to get through it no matter what. From what I read from the text, Saba (main character) is on a quest to get her twin brother back. This got my attention because I like the mixture of mystery and adventure, and love how it is combined all in a book; which makes the book more thrilling to read. What interested me about the author Moira Young is that Blood Red Road has been nominated for several key awards both here and US. I have also heard from my friends how great the book is. When I heard that it was a sequel, I was really excited for it.
