Thank you all for making Reinventing Mike Lake number one in the free literary fiction section on Amazon for your Kindle. There is still time to pick it up free if you haven't yet at - http://tinyurl.com/8tb49vtThank you all very much for the continued support, and again, I can't thank you all enough.
Annette - I couldn't have put it better myself...mainly because I never thought of that. But when people ask me what I was thinking with the ending that's what I'll tell them now. LOL.
Spoiler alert!! If you guys haven't finished yet don't read below this line...................
............
Mike was at the grave site. Mike goes to the grave site to drop off a copy of his book at his wife's spot. After Mike is done "speaking" with her from the letter he wrote, Cassidy tells him it's time to go, chastising him that he's about to be late for his own wedding.
The ending of my book has caused the most conversation in reviews. What were your views on the ending, and if you have any questions for me regarding it feel free to shoot them my way.
Just a reminder from those that may be stopping by from seeing this discussion on the front page - Reinventing Mike Lake is Free on Kindle through Sunday. Would love if some of you guys not part of the group would be interested in reading it and then contribute to the discussion. Thanks in advance.
I'm going to go ahead and start a new thread for this topic in an effort to get more threads going and for new members to see this thread as opposed to the "Welcome" thread. Please guys, continue to ask your questions here!Thank you!
Hey Nathan -Short answer - Status Unknown. Slightly longer answer - I'm interested in seeing where Mike Lake heads next myself, though I realize that could take a while.
Hey Nena,A large part of the story came from things I have experienced, one way or another. However, the major theme of the story - Mike's wife dying - was 100 percent made up. My lovely wife is perfectly healthy and will hopefully be joining us in this discussion sooner than later.
I think I decided to write about that topic because it elicited an emotional response to me, and losing my wife is obviously one of my worst fears in life.
The majority of the places and people Mike sees along the way stem at least somewhat from places and people I've met, though not all of them.
Thank you for the question!
Thank you all for checking out my discussion page. If you guys have any questions for me, regarding my writing of my book, please feel free to ask. Also don't hesitate to start new threads in order to get some discussion going. Thank you for checking it out.
