i would think ponyboy wanted to fight was becuase his whole life he hated the soc's for everything they belives they are the reasion johnny is near death and bob is dead. and dally and curly were are there so they needed as much people as they could get to fight.

i would say yes and no. yes becuase he support and was LOYAL to his gang by helping them in the fight. however no because he should not get hurt anymore becuase he just amost droweed/ lost alot of weight/ ran in a fire/ burned. but he still goes to the rumble and he only gets worse.

Ponyboy's attitude toward darry changed alot becuase he finds out alot about the reasions behind his actions. For example he see's darry cry which is VERY rare becuase darry is that type of person. This shows that darry isn't just bossing ponyboy for the fun of it but he really cares for him. Aother example is when ponyboy also see's that darry cares for him so it chages the way ponyboy see's him. this shows how ponyboy and soda are the only things left in his life ever since their parents died and he only wants the best for him so he sets the bars high (idiom :D) for ponyboy becuase soda droped out of school but its not too late for ponyboy.

in the book ATD by sherman alexie the biggest role i belive arnold has is hope. becuase he is poor and everyone who also lives on the rez is poor too. arnold makes a goal for himself to make it to reardan where whites are. arnold's hope pushs him to do all the stuff he has done in the book. after rowdy knocked him out and won the game most people would quit and never play again but arnold never gave up. he trained and kep playing untill he got good at it and once they played with rowdy again they won.


yes i think arnold belives in roles in other peoples lifes. mary lived on the rez becuase she was born into being poor she stayed in a basement for a long long time. how she broke free and now she moved with someone she likes to montana and enjoys her life ( for how long it will last)

the reasion i think sherman alexie named this superman and me was becuase superman is a fintoin superhero who trys to save people form evildoers. sherman alexie can be superman becuase when he rights his books to give to spokan indians becuase they did not have good schools. the people he is trying to save are the indian kids who sill have hope to grow up and be like him. the evildoers are the kids that aready lost hope but sherman sill trys to help them in someway.

in the realistic fiction novel The Absolutely true diary of a part time indian by sherman alexie when arnold says “If you let people into your life a little bit, they can be pretty damn amazing.” he may mean that if you have alot of problems in life most people hold it in and keep it all to themselfs. but arnolds means that if you talk to someone that can help you with your problems they can do alot. when arnold got to reardan he was all alone and poor and had no friends to talk too at all. when he told roger that he was poor he helped him gave him money and covered him over for the dinner.

i can relate this in my life becuase in my house i have problems with me and my mom (sill on going) and so far i have only told one person and he helped with alot and easyed alot of hardships.

in the realistic fiction book The Absolute True Diary Of A Part-Time Indian by sherman Alexie i think that the reason he called "Slouching Towards Thanksgiving" is becuase in rearden he is very new to the school so maybe hes just trying to lay low and not draw too many problems to him or hes upset due to his best friend hateing him and not feeling like hes a part of the crowd

The quote I pick is “To lose is to learn.” I picked this because Arnold has lost a lot of things in his life. When his dog died he knew that he couldn’t save him because they were too poor and he couldn’t find any money. When he changed to the other school Rowdy hated him. Rowdy had been best friends ever since they were born and now he hated him. When he got beat up and yelled at by his own best friend he knew that going to the other school would cost him everything that he had on the rez.

The way I think this would match Rowdy because his dad’s gets drunk and abuses his wife and son a lot so he loses the safely of his own home when Arnold started going to the other school he got mad and beat him up even when they been long time friends. Rowdy is a tough person and fights for Arnold he lost a best friend and new keeps hating him.

in my book the devils hand the writer trait is very fast pacted. he like to do things in a rush like when he was gather info form the owner of the ganses red he said to himself " i looked over to check my tape redcorder to see if i had time or i would rush one side had ran out"

One role that he was born into was being poor. If other people cared about their dreams life for them would be very nice. They would be able to move out of the rez and maybe life with other people. The reason I picked this is because in our world money is very needed to have a good life without money you may not live the best life you can get. Like in the book when he first got to the other school it said he had a GLAD bag for a backpack for to hold his school items. And he barely gets to make it home because they don have money got gas and he has to htichike.

One role I was born into was being azn my mom thinks of me too much. When I was young she said you don have to be 100% just at ok. But once I started middle school and I got “ok” grades she yelled at me like I was the world’s dumbest kid. I yelled back at her telling her she said I didn’t have to be 100% then she said I want you to do all your work and do everything right that’s my ok after I was like WHAT????. being azn is hard everyone wants more of you and this makes a large inpact on my everyday life
