Ponyboy decided to fight for many reasons. One reason that Ponyboy decided to fight is he has to protect his honor. If he did not go fight he will just be tagged chicken from the gang and the socs. Another reason is he wants to avenge for Johnny. Johnny was hurt by the socs and he has to fight the socs so Ponyboy can revenge for Johnny.Ponyboy was not right to fight because even though he has good reason he still should not fight. Ponyboy knows that the fighting will not change any thing. Ponyboy also knows that Soda, Darry, Two bit, and him dose not belong with the sherperds gang fighting.
The topic of my research is about video games being beneficial. During my research i learned a lot of things. One is that video games can be be beneficial because they can help in the medical field. Surgeons can practice in the video game, it makes it more safe. Another thing that I learned is that video games can also save lives. A boy had saved his sister from a mosses. He was able to do it because he learned it in a video game. Video games can also endurance learning by making it more fun for kids. I enjoyed the researching because it was really fun and interesting.
In the book "The Absolutely True Diary Of a Part Time Indian" by Sherman Alexie, the protagonist Arnold had a role in his life that really changed him a lot. Arnold chose the role of going to Reardan. With him moving in to Reardan it has changed his life a lot. It made him happy and sad at the same time. He had to through many things. One thing that affected because he went to Reardan is that he got into the basketball team. That changed him a lot. It made him a big part of Reardan. It made Arnold feel like he was welcomed. He was being believed my his teammates and made his coach believe in him. Another way that affected him is when he meet Gourdy. Gourdy had opened a whole new idea to look at life. He had made Arnold understand more and made him respect his own cartoons.I believe Arnold still believes in the power of roles. He had changed his life a lot because of what role he had chosen. For an example he was hope full when he had made it in the team. He had worked really hard to be in the team. His coach had helped him change a lot because he went and got in the basketball team. Another time is when Arnold made a new friend at Reardan. It made him know that he dose not need Rowley to survive. He was able to make friends and he learned how to defend him self with out Rowley.
I think the author, Sherman Alexie, titled his piece "Superman and Me" because he was acting like superman. He was trying to save every one on the rez. Just like superman, Sherman Alexie where both treated like a different person. They where both different from the rest of the people. Sherman Alexie was smart and because of that he was odd and seemed like a outcast from the rest of the people in the rez. Supper man and Sherman Alexie both had the same goal, It was to save people. Sherman Alexie knew that he was different from the other people from the rez, but he accepted the differences that he had and used it for good, just like superman.
In the realistic fiction book The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian by Sherman Alexie, the protagonist is a 14 year old boy named, Arnold. Arnold has been determine to save himself from the rez. He ad to abandon the rez so that he could change his future. In this book, one of the chapters was called "Slouching toward Thanksgiving." I think what this means is that Arnold has been not really making the choices for himself, and hes just "slouching" his way through what he has to do. He's slouching making it seem like he dose not what to do it but he has too. "Slouching toward Thanksgiving." is him slouching, not been noticed toward thanksgiving.
In the book The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, Arnold is determined to change his race. He has to go to a different school that is out of the rez. He knows that the entire rez is on his back. His parents asked him when he wants to transfer, he tells them that he wants to transfer right away. If he does not he won’t have a chance of surviving. He was to carry on with his future. He knows that if he does not do it right away he won’t able to change his future. He has sacrifice many things to go save himself and his future.
I think the role that has been most influential in Arnold's life is being poor. If he was not poor he would have been able to save his best friends life(dog). He was really sad that he was not only unable to save but also unable to get a job that will earn enough money to save his dog. He knows that he has to end his life because the dog was suffering too much. He knows that his dog, knows what was going to happen and that made him happy but still he ran a way during the shooting o his dog.A role that I was born into and is influential in my life is being a little brother. I was expected to be as smart as my brother. I had to do may things to help out the family because i was the smallest one. I was also not trusted as much as my brother because they think that since that i am younger i will be less trust worthy. I am able to do what my brother dose or where he goes because i am younger than him.
Brother:Billy Age:6 Setting:HomeMy brother Billy was 6 year old when he broke my mom's vase. He was scared that Mom would yell at him for it. So when Mom found out a bout the broken vase she asked who did it. I told here i did not, as i look over at my brother he also said i don't know. Later i asked him why did he tell Mom the truth. He told me that he did not want to get in trouble. Then after a few hours the lies went on as she asked us about it. But then it went on he got guilty about doing it and in the end he told her the truth. He had learned that its better to tell the truth than lie.
