Okay. OKAY. OOOOH-KAAAAY.Destiny's been doing - and probably will keep on doing - a stellar job on posting the topics for every challenge. Ridiculously grateful for that since parenthood is making it only just so I can read and keep my blog somewhat alive. [Although it would be nice to bloghop again but alas, the time..]
ANYWAY. I just went on this group to check and saw there's 1001 members and I'm BLOWN. AWAY.
I'm so happy so many people enjoy the challenges I created a couple of years ago!
Like. I just had to throw it out there.

General information:
Sequel September is exactly like the name says: a month to focus on reading all those sequels piling up on your shelf / bookstand / TBR cart!
Can I pick up other books as well?
Sure! To participate you simply have to try and read at least one book that fits the monthly challenge.
How do I sign up?
Signing up equals posting your TBR in the post specifically meant for that. Once you've done that, you're all set! Simply make a list with all the sequels you want to read in September.
I'm a mood-reader. TBRs really aren't my thing!
No problem! You can also just post the books you choose to read as you start them. Like I said, you only have to read one book to participate in this challenge.
How do you know what books I've read for the challenge?
Every time you finish a novel, you simply go and edit your TBR-comment in that topic. Strike it through, put it in bold, add "READ" - whatever! Simply make sure it's obvious you finished reading a certain book.
Do you have any challenge-specific questions?
If you do, go ahead and ask them right here! If you have more general questions regarding our group or challenges, go to our general FAQ topic and see whether it's been answered already. If not, just ask ahead over there!

Once the reading challenge starts, you can come over here and share the first book you're reading! Maybe you'll find someone else reading the exact same one?
Have you finished a book? Tell us as well! Maybe even add some of your thoughts about the book. Did you enjoy it? Or didn't you?
What's going to be your next read?
Every small progress you make, you can share here! Even if you just want to talk about a huge event that just occurred and you need to shout about it for a bit.

Want to participate in Sequel September? Then this is the place to be!
Simply post your TBR — the sequels you want to read — here!
Don't forget to edit your TBR comment as you complete your reads! You can strike through the titles, add (READ) to the line, or whatever else you like. Feel free to add more to your TBR as the month progresses!

General information
May is all about mood reading! There's no limit to what you're reading - it can be anything, really. As long as you're following your mood and ignoring those set TBR's for once!
Can I pick up other books as well? Ones I really, really have to read?
You can, but know those won't count towards this challenge. I know there are a lot of bloggers in this group so having to read some ARC's is pretty common. Just try and read only those that are due very soon so you can mood read as much as possible!
How do I sign up?
Signing up equals posting your TBR in the post specifically meant for that. Once you've done that, you're all set! BUT since we're mood reading, "TBR" has a different meaning this time around. You can either go with:
- A list with your entire TBR - or maybe a link to your owned TBR-shelf if you have one.
- A list with the books you're most enthusiastic about to read asap.
How do you know what books I've read for the challenge?
Every time you finish a novel, you simply go and edit your TBR-comment in that topic. Strike it through, put it in bold, add "READ" - whatever! Simply make sure it's obvious you finished reading a certain book.
I really don't do mood reading?
HOW. I cannot imagine this. HOW.
Do you have any challenge-specific questions?
If you do, go ahead and ask them right here! If you have more general questions regarding our group or challenges, go to our general FAQ-topic and see whether it's been answered already. If not, just ask ahead over there!

Want to participate in Moody May? Then this is the place to be!
Simply post your TBR - aka the list with your entire owned TBR, or the books you're most excited for to read asap - here and you're officially signed up!
Don't forget to adapt your TBR-comment throughout the challenge.

I only read one Monstrous book so far and am hoping to read two in the end. I'm still trying to find a balance between caring for the baby and reading, haha. So far bath time is the only time I can properly read? Oh well!Finished:
When The Tik-Tik Sings
Currently reading:
The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein
Gah, I love how you're all already setting TBR's even though it's still two weeks off, haha!Tentative TBR at this point:
Always and Forever, Lara Jean
Summer Bird Blue
The Poet X

General information
April is all about contemporary. Whether it's adult contemporary or young adult contemporary, it doesn't matter.
As long as it's contemporary, it counts!
Can I pick up other books as well?
Sure! To participate you simply have to try and read at least one book that fits the monthly challenge.
How do I sign up?
Signing up equals posting your TBR in the post specifically meant for that. Once you've done that, you're all set! Simply make a list with all the contemporary books you want to read in April.
I'm a mood-reader. TBR's really aren't my thing!
No problem! You can also post all the contemporary reads on your TBR and use that as your "TBR".
I really don't read contemporary books; what do I do?
Honestly, there's so much diversity when it comes to contemporary.. There's bound to be something out there you end up liking! Maybe ask the other members for recommendations or check out other people's TBR's to see if there's anything to your liking?
Do you have any challenge-specific questions?
If you do, go ahead and ask them right here! If you have more general questions regarding our group or challenges, go to our general FAQ-topic and see whether it's been answered already. If not, just ask ahead over there!

Simply post your TBR - aka the list of monstrous books you want to read - here and you're officially signed up!
Don't forget to adapt your TBR-comment throughout the challenge.
Oooh - moving, yay! Although I really don't want to think about the packing and unpacking at this point. My library isn't going to get set up for ages to come and it hurts my heart, haha.On another note: You can always give the "monstrous" part another monstrous twist by going with huuuuge books. Just saying. :D
I finished four of my jar pulls so far! I'm hoping to finish my fifth before the month is over, which is Escaping from Houdini.Books read so far:
Daughter of the Burning City
To All the Boys I've Loved Before
Archenemies
Godsgrave
I'm so proud of everyone! You're doing GREAT!I finished my second #JanJamJar read this weekend and started my third with Daughter of the Burning City! It seems like a quick read since I'm already over 100 pages in, but.. I'm not really losing myself in it so far? We'll see how it goes!
I still haven't finished Godsgrave but.. yeah. Hopefully this week! I did pull out two more books from my jar, mainly because I'm going to live at my mom's for a couple of days and I didn't want to risk being without something to read - DOH.
So up next are:
- Archenemies
- Daughter of the Burning City
Gah, I can't believe how big this group's gotten already! WELCOME TO ALL! I hope you enjoy the reading challenges and they help you tackle those TBR monsters! :D
It's definitely the taking part that counts, haha! And, if you at least read one book that fits the challenge: you're all good! :DIt's not like everyone's capable of reading as much as some of us can. :P
