We have created a group here and one of our group members asked the following: "I can't seem to transfer my books from shelfari. I got my export data but every time I try to import it, goodreads times out. Can anyone help with this? I really don't want to manually input my thousand something books"
Does anyone here have any suggestions? Thanks!

I don't have them all on Goodreads. I am..."I cried a lot and am now moving on to see if we can try and set things up here (although I'm also annoyed at having been forced to move).
For some weird reason I can log in on my phone but not my desktop. I get the same message about creating an account when I try to login via computer.
I also did the recommended. Not sure, why mine had an issue. Only reason I noticed was because I saw that "Polygamy under Attack" was listed on my profile as a favorite book (a book i've never even read and most certainly wouldn't be a favorite of mine, judging from the synopsis). While that made me laugh, it wasn't so funny later when I had to scroll through 40+ pages of books to remove the incorrect additions. In many cases the books had the same title but when you looked at it closely the authors were listed as book rags or other publishers of study guides not the actual authors.I liked how Leafmarks allows nested discussions and lets you mark re-reads. Still playing around with it though.

I don't understand how to upload books and I don't think that went..."I tried to do that. I exported from goodreads to a csv file then uploaded to Leafmarks. It worked for about 2/3 my books then I ended up with close to 100 strange iterations (study guides instead of the real book, some random books that had nothing to do with the actual book & some weird books were favorited). I had to go back and delete about 50-100 books and add the correct versions.
Other than the strange issue with uploading my books, no other issues so far. I like the platform.
