The problem is not with not being good with words, the problem is lack of research when experiences happen. If you don't know how to research something out when it comes to the supernatural, the paranormal and all other points on this very big map, it can be difficult to know where to start.
Way back when I was young and things were happening the only way to explore was the local library and on occasion I would meet an sage soul who would more or less drop bread crumbs by saying things that I was left to figure out on my own. Today we have this marvelous thing called the internet which offers vast collections of storehouses of information. A really good place to start in your search is to do a search on reincarnation, elementals(that would be related to your water spirit). That's just a couple. What you will find is that there are a lot of sources out there and part of the education is learning what is real and what I've heard called by some as fluffy bunny stuff aka fantasy magic stuff that people are convinced is real.
A good library to start digging around is this place: Sacred Text Archive. It's a web site that will help you in your research. There are other good places to search but this is one that has enough stuff to start with.

I didn't coin the phrase energy vampire, it is exactly that and it was recognized and labeled by someone else long before I ever ran into it.

Since I've never sealed myself to anything of dark or black magic I've never had to deal with the consequences of that choice. So I did a search and it took less than 30 seconds to find a website which should be helpful to you.

Educating oneself is part of the road. There is experience and then there is education. If your going to be teaching people you need to either have years of experience or know where the information is. If you know where the information is, it's best to learn how to decern what's good info and what's garbage. There is a difference in that too. I took a quick look through the main page of the website and didn't find anything that raised red flags. I would suggest spending a good amount of time reading on the page, take notes as you go and also make notes of what works and what doesn't.
There is a difference too between fantasy magic and the real deal too. I would suggest you do some research in that department too.
An added note here, even with years of experience there is still room to learn as long as we are in these bodies.

I've been reading and following and would like to add my thoughts to this. What Billie does, taking other people's pain and making it their own can open the door to some interesting things, confusion after a time because it becomes hard to tell what is yours and what isn't. Being able to feel the pain of others is an empthic skill and depending on how developed it is will determine how strong it affects you.
It would be wise to ask what you are allowed to take on and what is not yours to take on. Being willing is wonderful but it can become dangerous as in if you run into an energy vampire who appears to need healing they can destroy you.
An energy vampire is just one thing you must be aware of, and so it is prudent to ask before you take on the pain of another.
Healers are neither offensive nor defensive, they simply have the gift of healing. Again asking before you do is always wise. There may be reasons unknown to you that have to do with the lessons of a persons life which is tied into a condition.
Jumping in with all go before you know can get you into serious trouble or you can end up creating a mess that you don't mean to.
Billie, just another thought here, you said you think your reincarnated from your grandpa...do you mean you are your grandpa reincarnated? In all the reading I've done on reincarnation and looking into it I've never run into anything that suggests being reincarnated from, that would suggest only that you are his descendent. Either you are your grandpa reincarnated or he has become a guide for you.

Thank you for the welcome. I've never thought of it as superior in any fashion. It does tend to make me feel like I'm from some other planet watching the locals, if that makes sense. I know I'm here because there is work to do and when I do the work often people forget that they have met me.
A couple of months ago I met this guy on the bus who was convinced that I was an angel. I learned when people are convinced of something that no matter what I try to tell them, that I'm human, I figure they are seeing something that I haven't been able to see. The strange part is that we went into a store together and he went one way and I went the other. A short while later I saw him, he was looking all over for me, I knew he was because of how he was looking down every isle, but I didn't say anything. He walked past me several times and couldn't see me standing right there.
That's happened several times. I've almost been run over a few times by people who don't see me standing there. That's a little weird, but I figured that with everything else, that's probably normal too. Disappearing with out knowing I've disappeared.

Do I have knowledge of powers outside my own experiences? Just what is out there information wise. It's the reason I keep searching. I figure there has to be more people out there who live in this same place.
I'm glad you said something. It's nice to meet someone else who lives in this space.

I've been, I guess gifted would be the right word, with several ..gifts. The dead come to see me. I've had two face to face encounters with death on it's way to another person and pleaded for the life of the other person and felt death move away from the other person. I can see over great distances. There have been times when I have healed parts of bodies. There have been times when I have spoken and known that it was done. That was and is done with out ritual of any kind. I have visions that have lasted for long periods of time.
I have traveled through vortex's and see other places that arn't here.
I've tried to find other people who have had these same kinds of experiences. They are hard to find. I honestly don't think I'm the only person who has this stuff happen to them.
