I can't believe January is over already! I managed eight books. 1. The Other Side of Summer | A book on your TBR for 2+ years
2. I Am Out With Lanterns | A contemporary book
3. Found | A book with a one-word title
4. From Twinkle, with Love | An #ownvoices book

8. Ace of Shades | A book from a subscription box
Just finished my first read of the year! The Other Side of Summer I'll use this one for "A book on your TBR for 2+ years". I have the uncorrected proof, and I'm pretty sure I picked it up at TeenCon 2016, because it was scheduled for release in May that year.
What prompts will you be tackling in January? I'm easing into my reading challenge with some contemporaries, and I'd also like to finish my backlist books from The YA Chronicles + finally read Obsidio.
I was going to write a list of all the prompts that could fit the books, but I realised that about a third of them would work. WHOOPS! I'll see how I go and what books I assign to the prompts as the month progresses.
Feel free to use this thread as a place to update others on your progress throughout the year! If it gets too busy I might create monthly threads, but I reckon we'll be fine for a while yet.

Of course! I'll make a new thread where people can update others on/keep track of their progress.
Dana wrote: "Also, do I have to read them in the order you put them or can I read them in the order of my preference?"Your preference! The discussion threads in this group were numbered for ease of reference when I created them, but the challenge graphic only has boxes to tick so you can read in any order you choose.
Feel free to ask any general questions about the challenge in this thread! I'll update this original comment with any additional questions throughout the year. 1. CAN A BOOK COUNT FOR MORE THAN ONE PROMPT?
Absolutely! I personally created this challenge to get through as many of my TBR books as possible so I'm aiming to read at least 52 books using this list. However, you don't have to use the challenge that way. It all depends on your individual goals.
2. DO I HAVE TO READ IN ORDER OF THE PROMPTS?
There is no set order to the prompts, so you can read however you choose. While the discussion threads in this group were numbered for ease of reference when I created them (and so I didn't accidentally skip over some prompts), there's no numbering system on the challenge graphic. If you choose to print it out, however, there are boxes you can tick as you go along!
Aimee wrote: "I was thinking Release by Patrick Ness, can anyone let me know if this is a suitable choice?"I haven't read Release, but I had a look and it does seem to have a bit of mental health rep in it based on this (https://www.epicreads.com/blog/author...
"Then, in RELEASE, Patrick tells an entire story in the span of a day. Adam Thorn deals with anxiety as well, but it’s on a much smaller scale. The world isn’t ending (well, that he knows of), and his main concerns are related to his homophobic parents, saying goodbye to an ex he may still love, and other facets of his day to day life."
Aimee wrote: "Invictus by Ryan Graudin"I just finished reading Invictus this month and really enjoyed it!
Hello, everyone! My name's Sarah, and I'm the host/creator of #Ampersand2019. I'm hoping to get my physical TBR collection down to around 100 books by the start of 2019, so I'll be using this challenge to (hopefully) wipe out half of the remaining books.Pretty sure each prompt fits more than one book on my TBR, so I'll see what I'm in the mood for throughout the year!
