83119 Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater is a great fantasy book. At first I thought it was going to be like the Twilight Series with romance and werewolves, but it was actually a really enjoyable book. The end is a cliff hanger, so I'm trying to finish the series :)

83119 Keith Thompson draws some beautiful illustrations! The drawings almost seemed to pop off the page. The illustrations were helping in depicting just what the beasties, walker, and characters looked like. The style was very unique and detailed as well. Sometimes I would go back in the book to look at them more. Adding them in with the text made it feel like you were there, watching the story take place as it happened. I really liked the story, but seeing it come to life is what made the book so special.

83119 At the moment, I'm reading My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I'm only about 100 pages in, but so far I'm really intrigued by the story. I like how you see the story from so many different perspectives. What really makes this book interesting is that people like Anna exist, donating cells and blood all the time, even if they don't want to. I still have to finish it, but it seems like a great book :)

83119 I love this book! :). I especially liked how it intertwined the stories of Deryn and Alek. I agree that it took awhile to understand the whole Darwinists and Clanker thing, but once I did it made the book that much more enjoyable. The illustrations also really helped with my understanding of the story. I wouldn't have known what the Leviathan or the Walker would have looked like otherwise. Before reading this book, I wasn't really interested in Steampunk books, but now I want to read more like this. Overall, I really enjoyed the book and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

83119 I finished it too. O_O I'm also reading Skylark, which is sort of confusing but it's really good.

83119 No, but I'm glad it was changed :). If she was a young orphan, she probably would have just sat in that orphan house.

83119 I'm reading 13 reasons why and so far it is really good :)
83119 #1- I think Matt cried for him because he was just a confused old man. I also think that deep down, El Patron really did care about Matt because, you know, it's himself

#2- Tom and Maria seem to be forced to be together and Tom just doesn't want to see Matt end up with her. Tom showed Matt and Maria the screaming clone to break them apart because Tom doesn't want Matt to think he's special. From then on, Maria knows that he COULD have ended up like that, but he didn't

#3- I think she will be like "the one in charge". Not in charge of Opium but in charge of the house. Matt sort of runs Opium now but he's just a kid, so he needs her by his side. Maria will probably be the same, just hopefully will grow up a little XD. Celia will always protect Matt and give him wisdom and advice. For the next book, I think Matt will reveal his dark side because he still is El Patron.

#4- The end was ok, but I think it would have been better if Tam Lin lived. He did have a choice, but he felt that he had a debt to pay.

#5- Humans do all have purposes, even if they don't know it yet. Same with animals. My cat, Lizy, has been in 2 other homes and I think her purpose was finally finding the perfect family :)
