If you have not read Pillars of the Earth I would suggest reading that for this category. I think I would work at least. It doesn't take place 100% in a monastery, but I think enough of it references it. This is one of my all time favorite books although it has been 10+ year since the last time I read it. I may choose it for this category because it has been so long.

Good Morning – my name is RobinJoy and I live in the sunny state of California. I’m just now getting started on this challenge because my sister mentioned working on the challenger and it sounded interesting. I’m not sure how well I’ll do, but it will be good motivation to have a group that posts about it.

My favorite genre is definitely dystopia although many of them cross over into fantasy.

I don’t really look at authors, but rather books/series. My favorite series is a toss up between Hunger Game series, Divergent series, The Selection series, and Under the Never Sky.

I read probably 15-20 books last year that didn’t involve reading to my stepson at bedtime. I’m hoping to get more reading done this year, but we’ll see. I look forward to getting to know all of you and hearing about all of your suggestions. I’ve read the first book in the Girl Who Dared series, but the other books were not out yet. It looks like I need to go back and read the entire series now.
