Oh I know these 2 trilogies and I have loved the read. But if The Mountain Rise is less depressing, then I think I will manage :)
I have bought it but I have not read it yet (even if I'm dying to lol). I'll patiently wait for the following books to start the read.Plus "sad and depressing" are not allowed in my life just now :)
Michael ? I was wondering.I know you're just done with The Final Redemption and you're busy editing it and you probably want to breathe a bit after that but have you ever considered writing a prequel ? The story of Mordecai's parents (even if we know how it ends) would be great.
Latest news (on Facebook)Michael G. Manning
I have news about book five, Mageborn: The Final Redemption
I should be able to begin pre-sales on Amazon in a week or two. If things go smoothly the actual release will be on December 31st. If there are any hiccups it might be the first week of January (at the latest)...
I've read something about "The Final Redemption" being the title of book 5. But better wait for the author to confirm.I just can't wait. I have not read book 4 and am itching all over :) I am actually waiting for book 5 to be published and then I'll re-read the entire series...unless book 5 is not the final one.
Is it ?
You know what ? I haven't read yet (I know, I know). Why ? Well simply because I had already started the Mistborn series and I couldn't just stop right in the middle if it, could I ? (Could anyone ?).As soon as I'm done with the Hero of Ages (which should be very soon), I'll restart the entire Mageborn series. Can't wait. Truly.
I've missed Mordecai.
Commas are very important in general for the reasons you mention, and in particular for non-english native speakers/readers (I'm a french native one).Bloody commas.
I understand where your problem comes from . I'm sure book 4 will be okay. You've shifted from overuse to underuse ? Book 4 will show "normal" use :)
Thanks for your answer(s) Mr Manning. As for the commas, it's indeed getting better in book 3 (still a few missing but hey, let's just look at the bright side of things. I'm crossing fingers and toes for the next book though. Cant' hurt). Now, the release of book 4...a few months...that's eons for us *sigh* Oh well, it'll give time enough for the editor to deal with the commas thing (j/k).
NB: The Dorian/Penny/shiggreths part nearly gave me a heart attack. GOSH!!!
I'm over 70% through the book now and I can't wait to see how things will end up
5 members ? Only ? Really ? How is that possible ?I've just discovered the Mageborn series and I have to say I was surprised. Might I add that the surprise was (very) pleasant ?
I've just started book 3 and I love it the way I loved the first 2 books. It's refreshing, creative (I understand now why I will never ever write fantasy. One has to have a huge imagination...I'm not one of those...obviously) and I got attached to the characters - all of them - which is, according to me, one of the most important requirements for a good read.
One thing though. If you read me Mr Manning, could you just make sure there are commas where there should be ? (I'm fond of commas) :)
I've also just discovered that there would be a book 4...soon...hopefully ?
