I am so proud of this first go round with our discussion board. You all rock! This is amazing. Rich discussion.
I have a favor to ask of our two Amandas. Can you please modify your membership name by adding the first letter of your last name! I can't tell which Amanda is responding!
Thank you!

I am glad that you enjoyed the book. I like the way you talked about Juli being in the sycamore tree. Can you please be specific about the way the author described her feelings? Maybe a line o two from the book?

I hope you enjoy the books I have selected for us to read this semester!

A sweet story. I like the format the author uses to tell the story. My adolescent daughter has read this book multiple times (probably because there is a little romance involved)! :)

This is my favorite of the classics!
How is it relevant today?

A young struggles to deal with the terminal illness of his mother. The book was made into a movie, however, the book is far better!

Right now John Green is a very popular author with adolescents. This book deals with a topic not often written about. I think we will have great discussions.

This book has been banned in many places. I am curious to read your thoughts.

This is one of my favorite all time books. I try to read it every year. It is hard to believe that it is a true story. You'll see what I mean when you read this book!

This is a controversial book. I look forward to reading what all think!

This is a must read for all educators!

Welcome to our spring 2019 reading group. I hope that you enjoy the adolescent books I have selected for us to read this semester.
Our first book to read is Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen. My adolescent daughter has read this book multiple times.
