A Wild Sheep Chase by Haruki Murakami -- on page 10 of shelves for this book, 1 person (who is not me) has shelved it as "Dark".

I've read Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World which I really enjoyed, and After Dark, which is good too. I didn't care for A Wild Sheep Chase. I found the novel surreal rather than dark (although there is one "dark" episode, it's not the focus of the novel). Put me asleep a couple of times, but I persevered to the end!

I'm currently reading A Feast for Crows which is certainly dark!
