i felt like the book was definitely creepier. the tv show joe and beck seemed somewhat more likeable than the book ones. i read the book that didn't have the tv cover then binge watched the tv show. while reading the book i just felt like joe was just downright disturbing. his thoughts and quips seem more playful and witty in the tv show so i found him more likeable. also beck in the book seemed much more of a conceited attention whore. the tv version just seemed needy and lacked confidence.

there were a lot of differences, from completely different characters being included or excluded, though for the most part the story line is similar. the ending is weirdly different though so i really want to read book 2 now.

oh and i think i will have to check out the collector after reading some of these comments!
