Alright I moved it to the yellow 7 and now the yellow 1 is available. What a team we are The Fifth Element, fantastic! š
I added some books that I'm hoping I can finish (fingers crossed!!) I found a book that can be a yellow 7 on my bookshelf. Woo Hoo!! I also switched the book I had for yellow 1 to yellow 7, because that seems harder to fill? We can move it if its better another way. So now for yellow, we just need a yellow 1.Killer Potential by Hannah Deitch - I have an ARC of this book and the cover is totally green, no designs, just some text. The published edition has a different cover. Just to let you know as I added it as a green card.
Have a great day everyone! We are getting into Spring (although it did snow a bit last week) so it's nice and sunny here today. Hope everyone is enjoying some good weather and good reads!
Also I have a book that can be red or yellow. Iām thinking yellow would be better since thereās more spots but less books. It can probably fit anywhere - itās 10 short stories with 10 different authors, titles, and characters so that should give some wiggle room with this book. Does anyone have yellows they plan to read? Should I go ahead and use this one for yellow?
I have an ARC of a book with a yellow cover. The published edition has a different color. Can I use this book for yellow?I can't figure out how to post a picture. I have the image on Canva so I will link the photo of the cover I have on the spreadsheet. The book is called All You Can Kill and it's by Pasha Malla.
*hangs head in shameI claimed the written between 1978 - 2005 on the mini but I'm not going to read that book right now. I just couldn't get into it. Sorry.
So that is a spot that still needs to be filled. Sorry!!
I filled in a couple spots of books I have already read. I also listened to The Gay Best Friend! So thatās a reverse too. I liked it - it made me laugh, it almost made me cry. Good character development too I thought. I will keep an eye on the books listed and the spots claimed and add it in if Iāve read the book too.
Hi Tif!I have a cover color question. If I use TinEye, what is the minimum percentage to consider a cover that specific color?
Thank you!!
I like:R2D2 & C-3PO
Luke Skywalker
Chewbacca
Emperor Palpatine
But Iām also ok if those arenāt the choices
Happy Monday everyone!! Hope you all had a great weekend! Anyone come across a 5 star book so far during the challenge?Hi Tiffany - I added a wild draw 4 to the spreadsheet but I wanted to make sure the book Iām using is actually a wild draw 4. If Iām understanding correctly, a draw four duplicates a card with a color and a number? If so, Every Fall is a red 7 so I think it qualifies? Can you clarify for me?
Thanks!!
Gustaf - I was looking for books on everyoneās Read shelf to see what I could read for a reverse. I just picked up a copy of The Gay Best Friend from the library this morning. I hope I love it as much as you did!!
Hi Faith!I know I sound like a broken record, but We Are Watching by Alison Gaylin was great. Gripping and engaging, lots of twists and turns. Sometimes the narrators bug me to, but I didnāt not that for this audiobook.
Black in Blues: How a Color Tells the Story of My People by Imani Perry was fantastic. Nonfiction read by the author, it connects Black/African-American history of all sorts to the color blue. It was really informative and I enjoyed Perry as the narrator.
What Happened to Ruthie Ramirez by Claire Jimenez was good also. Itās a little bit older, from 2023, but the plot really drew me in and I quickly became invested in the characters.
Hope you can find something you like to listen to!

Question for the mystery lovers - what's a good mystery that you've read recently? Not that I need to add to my TBR, but I'm always looking for good new books! I liked Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney and We Are Watching by Alison Gaylin.

Hi Gustaf!
Thanks for the welcome! My kid loves the Sims also! I like it too, but haven't played for a while. How old is your dog? High energy little one, or mellowed wise dog? I confess, I had to look up pictures of a whippet since I'm not really familiar with the breed, and the pictures of whippet puppies were adorable. Such an elegant looking dog.

That's awesome! My kid is really into musical theater too, so I get a lot of second-hand knowledge about different musicals. Lately it's been Newsies. But I think my favorite musical that I've seen is Six. Loved, loved, loved it!! I have not actually read Wicked but I remember hearing good things about the book, way back when it came out. I have to ask - what was the best: the book, the musical, or the movie?
This seems like a fun team :) Glad to meet everyone!!Tiffany, can I do a yellow 8 - Human Acts (character name; Eun-Sook)?
Hi! My name is Heather.
I like mysteries, literary fiction, and some science fiction but I'm working on reading more widely than that. Lately, I have been reading a lot of cli-fi, even though it terrifies me.
I have a 12 year old kid and live in Western New York.
I've played uno before - I think this is the third year I have played.
I very rarely watch movies, so this is a tough question! I did just go see Wicked so I'll pick that as my favorite movie.
We have two cats: A big bushy-tailed black cat named Pippa, and an orange and tan scaredy-cat named S'mores.

I can't wait to start playing! Looking forward to meeting everyone :)
