This was much awaited! I really enjoyed it, but I will say there is a ton of filler, it isn't just Blay and Qhuinn's book. I enjoyed reading about Assail and Sola, as well as Xcor and Trez and Layla, but it seems like even though this is still moving, it is almost spreading too wide. I feel like we have lost the heart of the Brotherhood, there is so much going on that it is hard to focus on the Brothers that make the series. I love seeing the ceremonies, and the intricacies of the Brotherhood, as well as the Glymera and the Lessors, but it seems like drugs and s*x are taking over... Don't get me wrong it is wonderfully naughty and I do enjoy the mates and what is happening in their lives, but I guess I want more. More Brothers more of their lives. We barely heard from Xhex, briefly from Manny and Payne, and through half the book we get Assail. Who is not a Brother at all, I can handle Xcor but only because of the Layla aspect. I guess it is hard to explain exactly what is in my head because overall I love reading about the Brothers in any way I can, I guess I just want more of the actual Brothers. So I suppose the next book will maybe be what I need...

Wow what a book! I have loved the other crooked creek ranch novels, and was really excited to read the newest one. This book was sad, so much heart wrenching pain loaded into a romance. I was completely enthralled with everything that was happening to the couple throughout the years in the book. The hockey twist was great getting to see the bad boy Billy and how Maddy balanced him. I kept thinking man, this book can't get much more sad, then there was a completely surprising twist and I thought Good grief what will they do? I was rooting for the characters and hoping that things would get better all while wanting to smack each of them. Over all this book was worth it, the ending making up for every little tug on your heart.
I absolutely LOVED this book! It was so intense. When I first started the book I felt as though I had missed out on the lives of some of my favorite characters, but then as it progressed, it was more exciting than not! Mira is amazing, the Breed is even more fantastic and the Order, oh man the Order! I am so excited to read about all these new characters Miss Adrian has given us, and WOW Nathan, he is going to be so like Hunter! Mira and Kellen were so heart wrenching. I don't think there is another word or words that could describe them! This book was well worth the wait, and since Lara has done a fabulous job arch the story and giving us a way to have another 10 books or so, then Woot Woot!
This book was intense! I was completely blown away with the amount of depth in the writing. I really enjoyed the paranormalcy books, and this one was so much more! I was torn reading, and I expected one thing, then all of a sudden something else would happen. Amazing how she made each sister so different yet so close, and the flash backs were perfect. Sometimes you can get confused, but this was done very well. There was so much emotion and confusion in the characters, and I was right there with them! I will eagerly read the next book in the series when it comes out!

Are there any series that you read just because the author had written a previous series or book you liked, then fell in love with the series?
What did you think of the way Lara Adrian went about this story line? Did you like the fact that this was 20 years into the future of the Midnight Breed world?
