I do read Kindle (iPad), but I am devoted to hardcovers. Just something about holding a real book. I'm sure that makes me very old fashioned. But when I travel, it's Kindle all the way.

I tend to buy books also. Unfortunately, I like the sparkling new hardcovers, so it's become a very expensive habit. I do borrow books from friends and family, but never use the library (I think it's because I don't like to be limited by the amount of time I have to finish the book).

Hello and welcome to Goodreads. I have only been a member myseld for a few months, and have gotten even more addicted to books. I read Water for Elephants a while back - it is a quick read. Hope you like it.

Hi Rose Ann - nice to see some activity in this group. I have Life of Pi on my to-read list, but haven't got my hands on the book yet (waiting for my sister-in-law to finish it). Let us know how you like it.
