How lovely to see all the activity! (Honestly, this is a boom compared to past years, lol). I shall do some housework on the previous threads and set up a reading schedule. You all must have an opinion on the read through, though. Chronological, by publishing date, or however randomly you might think fitting.
I am typically easy to get ahold of by private message, if anyone has questions or ideas. But I think this thread is a great place to toss around ideas to get the group back up and running!
Hello Samuel!Alas, many of the group members have become inactive. I am around still and always happy to chat with another Redwall enthusiast :) glad to hear you're rereading the series!
Great ideas guys :) @allegra - maybe you could message me or comment with a specific way you think a fan fiction should work logistically for this group :)
@andrew - I'll set up a group reading as you specified. I think assigned chapter reading is perfect.
I can hardly believe that the makers behind the Redwall game have the resources that Blizzard does with WoW, haha. Regardless, I am sure the game will be spectacular :) to be quite honest though, I still probably won't play it. I don't typically like cyber renditions of my favorite books.
Hey Troy!Super glad to have you in the group. Along with interviews where Mr. Jacques expressed his dislike for video games, there is a Q&A on the official website where he claims to "dislike such things". I am a big gamer, but I will not be playing the Redwall game as I believe it would not have pleased Mr. Jacques to have his literature, which is meant to encourage reading, turned into a video game, which is an entirely different genre of entertainment.
Here is the link for the Q&A, the question about video games is near the bottom of the first page:

Hello one and everyone! It seems that there has become a slue of unneeded and superfluous topics and discussions. Therefore I will be 'cleaning up' so to speak, in absence of the other Mods. Please let me know if there is a particular topic you would like preserved within the next week, so I do not delete it.
Also, please feel free to start suggesting ideas for this group. I am sure we would all like to see more activity happening here. We can pick up another role play, or start discussing Brian Jacques book for the upcoming year. Whatever interests you all is what we ought to do :)
Comment here to mention any topic's which you would like to remain intact, along with any ideas you might have.
Also, please feel free to pose any questions, comments, or concerns you have about the group generally.

I laughed at him and said he lying, but then I saw all these comments saying we miss yo..."Yes, sadly Mr. Jacques passed away a couple of years ago. He left us with some amazing literature though, and I'm sure he would be glad that you enjoy his books :) Here is a link to his bio if you are interested in reading for yourself. http://www.redwallabbey.com
I don't know. Think of all the things you could do in 2 minutes and 3 seconds: Eat an apple, read a pamphlet, brush your teeth, send eight txt messages, paint your nails, chop off your hair, draw a picture of mars... the possibilities are endless.
Anajoy-rusticgirl wrote: "Sable Quean is here!!! Apparently on the website as of March 1st Sable Quean as been published!!!!! And is available at your bookstores!!!!"Think again, Anajoy-rusticgirl, it was avaliable on the 23rd of Feb, haha! Redwall.org is messing with you, heehee...
You just add a ' at the end. If you have the cash, why do you not have the book yet? It's been out for 4 days already!
