Have you ever thought your life was to boring and that you felt you were destine for something but didn’t know quite what that was? In this science-fiction comic book “Wanted” by Top Cows production and Mark Millar, JG Jones and Paul Mounts based off the actual movie Wanted which has somewhat of a similar plot and story line to it. Due to that if you ever liked the movie you’ll really enjoy this. Its jam packed action and endless fun learning more of what the movie didn’t put in and didn’t get to.
The story is awesome and really as a kid as myself who barely picks up a book that you’ll start to see that this comic book is something you will never want to put down. I really got into this comic and how generally they make the lives of the people within the story. I mean you will learn a lot more then you actually learned from the movie. It also gives more of that connection to real life besides the fact it can never happen (well to me). The authors truly show the work they put in to this and for that I’m truly looking for the next comic to read because truly this is one of my favorites of all comics.
You read the story of a young man Wesley Gibson who has it very rough in his life who has increased heart rate and adrenaline levels result in bursts of superhuman strength but it all changes when he is told that his “proclaimed” father (That he never got to meet) was killed on a roof top of a photo shoot building in Chicago. He learned this by a woman named Fox that protected him from an attack from a strange man who was trying to kill him (or was he?). After that he notices he like his father is a highly trained assassin killer that only kills people that are destined to be killed because of this like a sowing machine named the loom. He learns then that he is special then anybody in the world because like his father and others that were or are in this loom it entitles them to curve bullets from a gun.
He soon starts to learn that he has to kill the guy he was attacked by. Which he soon learns that man had killed his father and that he has been killing a lot of the highly trained assassin killers. Cross which later on is someone who Wesley knows but really quite doesn’t. As the comic progresses he learns more by the group of assassin killers group named the Fraternity. He finds a secret room later on that was his fathers. But after looking in it he finds something you’ll have read in the 1st issue of WANTED.
