Imagine yourself waking up and having to worry about getting shot outside of your neighborhood day in and day out. My bloody life portrays the life of Raymundo Sanchez "Lil Loco" who was brought to the U.S at the age of 7 and gets involved into the life of drugs and crime because of his abusive parents who he blames is the reason for all the kids in the street living the same life as him. Making his first hit at the age 14, Reymundo gets initiated into the Latin Kings.

Reymundo gets ranked one of the big persons in the gang. gang members respect him and will even die for him. As days go by, Reymundo starts realizing the life he's living. His close friends rather getting shot or getting locked up makes him realize that being a king is not all that. 6 years into the violence of the latin kings, he remembers the beating of a member getting initiated out of the gang; laying down half bleeding to death makes him realize that leaving the gang is not going to be choice.
will Reymundo make the choice of leaving the gang after being at the top of it?

I recommend this book to each and every single teenager having hardships in their life. although i'm not one of them, i definitely got the theme of this book right away. it teaches you how and why not to get into the street life and how to avoid it. this is by far my favorite book. I'm very choosy about the books i read so definitely check out this book.
