9066 Hello. I have entered my novel Matters of Convenience in the Kindle Scout contest at Amazon. The link below will take you to an excerpt that went live 9/14 and will be up for 30 days. Hopefully you'll see fit to nominate MOC for a publishing deal from Kindle Press. Thank you very much in advance to those who show my book some love. If KP chooses to publish Matters of Convenience, everyone who nominated it will win a free copy.

9066 I thought it was relatively pointless at first but now I'm really starting to get into the Twitter groove - http://twitter.com/AuthorofPatches

9066 Thanks, Dee. My wife also mentioned that the site colors could use some editing. As good a place to start as any.

9066 I know it isn't very impressive looking because I did it myself and have very limited web design skills, but fortunately it's pretty easy to set up a basic site nowadays even without being an html expert, allowing for the creation of http://www.roypickering.net

Suggestions, tips, advice no matter how critical on improvements will be appreciated.

9066 Who doesn't get tremendous joy over staring at a piece of paper sometimes for an hour or more, narrowly avoiding an aneurysm while trying to figure out how to phrase a particular sentence "just right"? That plus the groupies, assuming they intend to show up at some point prior to my 90th birthday. Last but not least, I can never get enough hits when searching my own name on Google. Who was the famous philosopher that said - "I come up in Google searches, therefore I am"?

Cool idea, Gina. I have a personal FaceBook page and must confess that I've become a bit hooked on the site, and I do reference my book on my page, but it didn't dawn on me to create a page specifically for the book.

9066 Luckily I'm married to a very talented artist who designed my cover using one of her paintings at the very reasonable cost of nothing but gratitude. Patches of Grey by Roy L. Pickering Jr.
