9099 I've only read a handful of these so I'll have to checkout the rest. I don't usually make my list to many books in advance but I'm thinking a plan might be in order for 2020. Thanks for the post.

9099 Bess, This thread is quite old and not a maintained list. I'll close this thread. Feel free to start a new one suggesting updated resources if you like titled something like "Online Reformed Resource List 2020" or the like.
9099 The Wingfeather Saga books are great if you like fantasy and a bonus if you have kids that can get into them with you.

9099 Welcome James!
9099 I hope to have my book in time for day one but plan to join in. Thanks George for getting this together.

1. Where are you reading this book from and in what format?
I'll be reading this in a bound copy I purchased from WTS books that I hope comes in this week.

2. What is your Christian affiliation/denomination?
Reformed Baptist

3. How did you hear about the book?
This group

4. What are your expectations from participating in this book club?
Reading with a group and more tools in my belt and understanding more about the Lord's promises to his people. We've had good teaching on this at our church so I think I have a good foundation but I'm eager to participate.

5. What’s your favourite type of food and why? [Substitute or add to this anything else you'd like to say]
BBQ (low and slow smoked pork primarily) - I enjoy cooking it and eating it and it usually brings some pretty great sides along with it. I've been a BBQ judge and that just adds to it.

9099 I would also love to hear of recommendations but primarily ones that connect to a reformed perspective. I've got loads of other general lists but I'd love something that has been vetted for this more narrow aspect.

9099 Ok, I was all gung ho about helping in the group but over the last few months (We had another baby) I've been out of the loop. With three less than three years apart it's probably going to take a bit to get back into the Good Reads world. I plan to be back to help out but I wanted to explain my absence and apologize for dropping the ball.

9099 +1 Cheri. I don't have anything to add or comment specifically on the above article.

On the act of commenting on disaster there will always be a divide in even those with similar theologies because of personality and life experiences. I have been very close to two devastating tornados and I don't know that I would have "heard" the message in the words at the time but the message is still the right one. God is to be worshipped in good times AND in tragedy.
9099 Just FYI this ans all others in this series are now "free forever" according to Sproul's website.

9099 Thanks for the list Daniel. It's very helpful!
9099 I have to admit I haven't finished it still. I have been overwhelmed with a work project that is taking all my extra time. If I can find an audio version I might finish it up soon, if not I may have to skip to this month's books when I do get a break and come back to it.
9099 I'm hoping to finish it this weekend. I'll post here when I do.
9099 Please discuss below.
