Finished Wise Man's Fear last week, very good book. Currently Reading The Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack. It's pretty good so far.
I'm still up for reading this book. I'm just late (Surface Detail by Iain M. Banks took quite a lot longer to read than I expected). I'm starting it now.

Tim wrote: "Picked up your book the other day. Hopefully I'll get time to give it a read soon."I appreciate it! Let me know what you think once you get around to giving it a read.
Tim wrote: "Good man! I'm sold! I'll pick it up when I get home and put it on my nook. Thanks for being awesome and supporting open formats! "Sweet! Glad to have another happy customer!
Tim wrote: "OK, one more question. Any DRM?"No DRM on any of the versions, free or paid. Not a DRM fan. If you visit the bit.ly link you can read about the Creative Commons license I'm using.
Tim wrote: "Question, do you have any epub editions available anywhere that I can purchase? I have a nook so the Kindle edition might not work out well for me :D"Why yes, I do! http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/...
Or you can download free copies here:

Another contender for October's (or December's) book:Stars Rain Down by our very own Chris J. Randolph.

Inspired by Xerxes over on CoG, I wonder: can I assign my own short story as required reading here in GoodReads? I answered myself: "Sure!"http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASI..., for anyone interested. Or check out the thread at CoG for all kinds of different ways you can get the story, for $0.99 or for free.
Kraken would work for me. Did not enjoy City & the City, but Mieville's other books have been pretty great.
Tim wrote: "It looks like there are audiobook versions but no Kindle version."Xerxes found this link. The download works great on Kindle (I tried it personally):

Alright, it's the 1st of June, who's started their reading? I'm about to crack open my copy (well, electronically, anyway. I bought it for my Kindle).
Eric(PathMaster) wrote: "Gah, apparently my local library can not retrieve the book, it is too new. Hardcover is around $14 or so on Amazon at the moment."Eric, if you promise to donate the book to your local library after we're done reading it, I will PayPal you the $14 to purchase it.
Tim wrote: "I do have a question about it. In the description, it mentions returning to a world described in his other books. Is this part of a trilogy or is it stand alone?"I believe it follows up on some of his short stories. This is his debut novel.
