"I ask Ama,'Why. I say.'must women suffer so?''This has always been our faith,'she says" This book talks about the life of Hindu women. They go trough hard times, and harsh rules. This story is about The story of a girl who just reached puberty, and is about o leave to work to help her family out. This book really shocked me when i found out all the things women go trough. I recommend this book to mature ages and students/ children that like cultural problems and situations. This author has also written "Cut" and "My Borhter's Keeper". This book, "Sold" has won the ALA Top 10 Best Book for Young Adults 2007 and the California Young Reader Medal 2007.
Good job in describing the characters. Are they the main characters ? Because it seems like it. Would you recommend this book to girls ?
Javier wrote: "I would be very interested to read this book, would you recomend this book for me?"Hi Javier, I would not recommend this book. this is more of a book for girls. If youre interested in reading it, you should but i will let you know that there is alot of drama, and boy conflicts.
This book by Michelle Fierros is an exellent book. it describes the story of 3 friends who go trough a lot of hard situations; betrayal, dishonesty, and loneliness. After all the arguments, thye are still there for eachother. I recomend this book for teenagers who like drama stories and like suspence.
Hi ronny, i can conclude that afterall you really like this book (due to the writing amount) Is this book really that bad ?
"Soy Evie. Dee Dee and I have been best friends since we were little kids" pg. 52 This wonderful story called Honey Blonde Chica by Michele Serros, is the story of 3 friends who get separated, and when one of them comes back, Dee Dee, shes a total different person. This story has a lot of drama in between friends, but really interesting settings. I recommend this book to teenagers, because it explains situations which us teenage girls can go trough. This book hasn't won any awards, but this author has many other books. Some of her other books are How to be a Chicana Role Model, and Scandalosa!
