50x66 Hello i'm the book critic and today's book is Theodore Boone kid lawyer just to put some thing out there i enjoy shows like Hey Arnold which is a slice of life show that adds a bit of exaggeration. I love slice of life type things that add a bit of exaggeration and that is what Theodore Boone kid lawyer which i will just call kid lawyer during this review delivers just that but just because i like that does not mean the book gets an instant read it.STORY:Theodore Boone son of Mr and Mrs Boone two amazing lawyers gets himself tangled in a murder case when a witness' cousin stops by his door and now its Theo's job to find out who the murderer is. MY THOUGHTS:the book does what it does too well and that's a bad thing why because it keeps the mystery alive bye adding the slice of life at the most in opportune moment. what was that moment? The ending so there is no resolve as to who the murderer is.the writing is amazing though, its very descriptive but it introduces a lot of useless characters. The story though is very engaging and executed very well. QUOTES: "classic Grisham"- The Los Angeles Times,"Not since Nancy drew has a nosy , crime obsessed kid been so entertaining"- New York Times, "Theodore Boone :Kid Lawyer zips along at a quick pace, and young readers will be intrigued by the showdown of the trial." - book page. RECOMMENDED READING AGE:This book uses large words that some may not comprehend and deals with the judicial system so i say read this when your 13 and older.CLIFFHANGER QUESTIONS: There is only one question it leaves you with and that is who is the killer.SEQUELS: There is a sequel Theodore Boone kid lawyer: the abduction but that one is not that good.THE VERDICT: with its flaws yet good writing and narrative Theodore Boone gets a 3/5

50x66 hello its the book critic signing on today's book is Artemis fowl: the opal deception.this book is a massive improvement to the last one. it actually features a returning villain notorious pixie opal koboi from the second book.only this time she becomes human through surgery and sends a drill bomb down to the world of the fairies. As always its up to holly and Artemis to save the day and in another turn of events Artemis go his memory back due to an ingenious plan by bye creating a video diary and giving it to mulch and telling him to deliver the disk to him in the last book. needless to say opal goes crazy,“My truffles? You took them? That's just mean!" ,and the group defeats her by dropping he at a farm where she ticks a woman telling her shes her daughter and runs out of magic before she can tell the woman she does no work on the farm.so eventually opal works herself in to wanting to be captured.my thoughts are this book is massively better with some really good plot twists. no spoilers here its that good. and this book is my favorite of the series. Entertainment Weekly noted that the characters were "still a blast", however, the review also said "Colfer seems too dazzled by all the gadgetry and explosives jammed into this tale.",Bookstove called it "fabulously written" and "a perfect mixture of wit, humour and world saving antics with a supernatural twist.", however Disney's "Family Entertainment" did not recommend the book and called it "pretty confusing", though it still retained the strengths of the series as a whole. i suggest this book to 11-13+ and i give it 8/10 crazy kobois.

50x66 Hello this is the book critic signing in. Today's book is Scott Pilgrims Precious little life. for those who don't know there was a movie that did bad at the box office even though its good (go watch it).Anyway there are books that are more flushed out and detailed.okay the plot Summary "Scott Pilgrim is dating high schooler!" pg.5 are the first words you see and the story commences Scott pilgrim is 23 years old, between jobs, and dating a high schooler and in a band but then he meets a girl named Ramona Flowers who roller blades through Scott's dream causing him to become obsessed with her and when he starts dating her he find out he has to defeat her seven evil exes to date her. My experiences were with the movie and game but i knew the books were better than the movies and i was right this book goes more in depth on how Scott likes Ramona, the subspace highways, and how Scott pilgrim knows to fight. Personally i found this book amazing.and this book is part of a series of books and you will be left wondering who is Gideon , what will happen next, will Scott win the next fight, and will Scott break up with knives.Though this is o' Mallys most famous works but he also has a book called lost at see check it out.the reading age should be from 13/14 and up. i give this book a 5 out of 5 this is the book critic signing out.

50x66 OK before i get into this review i would like to establish i love this series but this book isn't my favorite and this also contains spoilers so if you haven't finished the book turn back now.Okay to start off with is the story it had potential with the whole butler died concept that would have been cool if it was not thrown out the window. Even the book preview in the book jacket says it is the plot "it is going to take a miracle to save Butler and Artemis's luck may have just run out..." (book jacket) that would have been an interesting plot but the book decide ,"Hmm this is too interesting" and decides to save butler and take him out from the book and its only used for this book. Instead Artemis has one of his inventions the C-cube and tries to get it back with the help of the LEP and suddenly mafia. yes out of nowhere they introduce the mafia apparently Jon Spiro the villain needs to capture Artemis to unlock the C-cube because of the eternity code Artemis made on the cube as terms of security. and what gets me is that they bother to give them an ending and they were never used again. What really gets me about the story is that you can read the first few chapters and the ending to get a good understanding of it. The cliffhanger leaves you wondering will Artemis discover the magical again and ill mulch give Artemis the medal Artemis gave him at the end of this book.Though that does not mean this book is bad entirely. the book is well balanced in that magical and human world the comedy is the same and overall it got positive reviews. Entertainment Weekly rated the book A-, saying that "The kid's still got it...Harry better watch his back",Publishers Weekly, complimented the book on its "Agile prose, rapid-fire dialogue and wise-acre humor." though Disney Family Entertainment rated it three stars out of five and remarked that it was not "great literature", but it was well-written and would be an entertaining summer reading book. I would not recommend this book as an introduction to the series but to a fan its one of those books that can be good or bad however you look at it. this book should be approached by 11 year olds and up.i give this book 2 out of 5 this has been the book critic signing out
