"I killed one thousand six hundred and thirty-two people," he said."Do you think I'm a hero?" said Gideon. Meaning he's mad at himself and thinks he doesn't deserve a reward for what he has done, eventhough it's the enemy's family he's killing."This dystopian drama examines the human aspect of war, and also how technology may redefine war in the future....Plot turns will cretainly keep [readers] entranced."-Kirkus Reviews How can the character Gideon feel bad of killing babies and women, eventhough they are the enemy that want to kill them? I think he shouldn't feel proud for what he has done, but reflect on it knowing it was the right thing for his people and himself. I recommend this book to those who understand what war really is and have the curiousity on how devastating it can be with new and deadlier technology. Other books by the same author are Uprising, The House on the Gulf, Takeoffs and Landings, Leaving Fishers, and DON'T YOU DARE READ THIS MRS.DUNPHERY. By the way this book is named The Always War by Margaret Peterson Haddix.
"Illuminates a turning point in human history, and does so with admirable pace, grace, and skill."-By Cory Doctorow,Boing Boing. How does the book Trinity Show grace as Cory is saying when the atomic bomb is a thing in this world that can destroy all mankind? In my opinion, the book Trinity doesn't show grace for the Atomic bomb, but the destruction it can cause towards humankind?I recommend this book for those who understand the science of the Atomic bomb, who are curious how the Atomic bomb came to be, and it's capacity of destruction. I'll compare this book to The Always War because they talk about how war can be destructive and horrifying.
"AS FAR back as I can remember I always lived in a broken home." Have you ever lived in a broken home and know what he has felt? Well I don't,but by looking and reading what he has gone through he's a man of courage and braveness. I recommend this book to those who have gone through same problems and are willing to understand and have symphathy, as well as respect for this man no matter what age. I also relate this book named SHOULDA BEEN DEAD with Night on how they both go through lost of family members in harsh ways.
"You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants don’t help."If you read this book do you ever wonder why Calvin is so extravagance with his stuff toy named Hobbes? In my opinion, Calvin and Hobbes make a great example of how kids are when they are small and learning. But as well be obnoxious, sillly, and curious. I would recommend this book to those who are fluent in english no matter what age you are. I will compare this book to others for example Yukon'Ho because it has both the same silliness and adventures of Calvin and Hobbes.
This review seems very interesting and the only way to find out if it's a very good book is if I read it. I also like that he interprets his feelings for the book he had read.
I think the book UnWholly by Neal Shusterman is catching and very interesting. Due to the fact that Jair's review about this book is catching, I think it is similar to the book The Giver because it's futuristic and suspenseful.
"Okay this is it!Everybody out!Let's go!Let's go!" said the general to his comrades in the invasion of Omaha beach. But who knows who will survive the greatest lost to the American army? I didn't find this book just interesting, but inspiring on how those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. I recommend this book to those who like inspirational stories as they find the real meaning on how it is to be in war for ages of 13 through 25. I will compare this book to Band of Brothers because they both show the unity, love, and will between fellow men for one cause and one cause only freedom.
