Betty, I am a writer and also an avid reader and I totally agree with you.I think a lot of the problem is writers can publish their e-books on their own. They don't need a publisher and sometimes it shows. I question whether some of them even use editors. But, the ones that are published as e-books through publishers, you can definitely notice the difference.
Dean, The Kindle has given the chance to find so many good, new authors that I probably never would have found without it. I still love the books, but the Kindle has its advantages too.
Thanks, Leanna! I'm glad you enjoyed them. I am currently working on the final edit of my western novella, Ride The Savage Land. Hopefully, it will be released sometime in February. I'm also putting the finishing touches on the sequel to Savage Land called Guns Of The Range Land. I plan on submitting that one to a publisher soon!
Leanna, you can find a good sampling of my work on the western fiction eMag Frontier Tales. Just click on the Author's section in the header and then on my name. The story, And Hell Came With Him, won story of the month for April 2010 and appears in their Best Of Frontier Tales anthology. www.frontiertales.com
I read both print books and the kindle. I use the kindle for convenience when it would be bothersome to carry more than one book. I still like the feel and smell of books. You can't get that with a kindle. I don't think new print books will ever go away entirely!
