Hello Ladies! It's been a while! I thought I'd start the new year by seeing what you all are looking forward to reading in 2008! Any new exciting books coming out? I can't wait for the 4th installment in the Twilight series! Yea! Anyone start the new Nora Roberts trilogy? I may have to go pick that one up!
xoxo
You totally should! The characters are well developed, the story is very descriptive and fast moving...It's no literary feat, but I thought it was such a fun, engrossing read!
Alright Gals! So last week I DEVOURED the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer....Anyone else read these? I absolutely L.O.V.E.D. this series! Yea for teen lit! Who wants to discuss?
Ohh! I read "What, No Roses?" not that long ago...I liked it, but didn't looooove it..."A Connecticut Fashionista" is next on my list! Let me know how you like it!
Apparently I read a LOT of time travel books! I was just going over some of my faves and realized a ton of them are time travel! Who's got some they recommend, because, obviously, a girl can't have enough! hee hee!
I usually read about 2 to 4 a week, though not as many lately...I'm hooked on the Outlander series and am now on book 5..they're long-ish and super intense and I find they're taking all my reading energy! I'm trying to read the Jane Austen Book Club right now at the same time and it's just not happening! What book did you just get?!?
true true...the booksfree thing doesn't really work unless you're reading crazy amounts of books...(unfortunately for my husband, this is the case for me!) and I am having a hard time not keeping the ones I love! I have gone out to buy a couple that I couldn't live without! And on the flipside...I've been reading things I normally wouldn't buy and if I don't like 'em, I don't feel so bad! Heh heh!
Fantastic Sharyla! I suppose it IS true that you just can't judge a book by its cover! I'm gonna have to read this Viking book now! Adding it to my booksfree queue! do you gals know about that? booksfre.com...it's totally the netflix of books! heaven!
Ah haha! Just google'd it! Hilarious! And I'm cracking up that you have The Bewitched Viking! You must read and tell us how it is! However can it live up to that cover??? Fantastic!
Alright...I wanna know what your favorite "Hideously Fabulous" book cover is...there are some doozies out there! I think mine would have to be....Sandra Hill's "The Bewitched Viking"...seriously...check it out...then find one of those "Emergency Eye Wash" stations!ps...I haven't actually READ this book...too frightened of the cover!
soooo sad...did any of you guys see Brit's performance on MTV last night? I really can't stand watching award shows anymore, but I had to tune in to see Brit's "comeback performance"....Wow....It was, in a word, miserable! She could barely lip-sync and really didn't even bother! Her outfit was typical trash and that weave!!! My friend John (most of you probably remember Mr. Hathaway!) was the one responsible for taking out her old busted ass weave and began color correcting her short hair (which he said was totally cute and she should have left alone!) Turns out she flaked on all his appointments and who knows who was responsible for that atrocity last night! Anyhoozie....poor thing....she looked totally stoned and could barely even dance! She really needs to just quietly fade out, get some help and take care of those kids! Sheesh!
Love love love Lynn Kurland! I've read most of them soooo out of order, but love how it doesn't really matter! I haven't read any of your other faves, but will have to check them out! Has anyone read Colleen Gleason's "Gardella Vampire Chronicles"? The covers are pretty trash-tastic, full of hunky man-boobage...but overall, I really like the series. My one complaint is the main character's "vis bulla"...I don't know why, but every time I read about it, I roll my eyes...LOL!
Let's discuss! I think my favorite Regency "trashies" are Julia Quinn...I actually made a makeshift book cover when I read "Minx" because the cover was so damn embarrassing! Haha! For contemporary, I'll always turn to my Jennifer Crusies! xoxo! Can't wait to hear what you ladies love!
