Showing 1-6 of 6

95287 The ones in the movie have the pseudo-Buffyverse look, in the second season of the show...which is probably going to be airing sometime this month considering there are photos of the new characters including Trejo's character...who sadly isn't Razor Charlie. I'm guessing they are still going with the whole 'reptile/serpent' vibe with the vamps in the show though.

95287 Welcome dear viewers to the Our Vampires Are Different Club, where our vampires are always unique and different in everyway, and we have everything you need for a vampire party or for a good time. We're just next door to the Our Werewolves Are Different club and the Were-Beasts R'Us Society. We specialize in vampires, vampirism, hypnosis, and all things bloody and gory. Before we start, i'd personally like to warn you all that our vampires do bite so please do not get to close to them. Feel free to have a look around here and relax, after all - this is a friendly place..well...that is unless you're one of those people who is dumb enough to just show up at this place who is just asking to get bitten. For the record, we cannot be held responsible for any deaths or vampire related incidents that may occur during your stay. Oh, and please leave any vampires from Being Human and The Vampire Diaries at home - we have had problems with them causing drama here in the past. Oh, and we have a strict NO TWILIGHT policy - so please, no sparkly-pricks pretending to be 'vamps' thank you. There are refreshments available at the bar - vampire wine for our much older members, blood soda for our young fledgeling vamps, blood and cowbell mix for our Walken inspired members and vampire themed cherry-aid for the little vamplings in the family which also comes in different colors. Thank you and have a good time here.

- Prince Vlad/Dracula (Bram Stoker's Dracula). Any incarnation of the Count could be on this list but the one I feel was the best one to add was Oldman's portrayal from the 1992 version, because he's one of those characters I relate to and definitely see myself as.
- Peina. (The Addiction). It's Christopher Walken, nuff said.
- Angel/Angelus (Buffyberse). A badass vampire with a soul.
- Santanico Pandemonium (From Dusk Till Dawn). I wouldn't mind being bitten by this vampiress, Eiza in the tv show is good but she's no Salma Hayek. Salma Hayek totally rules in this role. And you can't fault me for finding Salma Hayek attractive.
- Barnabas Collins (Dark Shadows) . Johnny Depp looks rather dapper as Barnabas, plus his Barnabas is every bit as charming as the original.
- Jerry Dandridge (Fright Night 1985). Have I mentioned just how marvelous Chris Sarandon was as the original Jerry? Chris Sarandon's Jerry is just so suave and polite...it makes it even harder for you to believe he's really an evil bloodsucker when he's so nice and sophisticated.
- Katrina (Vamp). The movie Vamp starring Grace Jones is an unique one, you could say this movie inspired From Dusk Till Dawn in several different ways. And Grace Jones is a very unique woman, at this movie shows. Katrina is a Crazy Awesome vampiress, she is a very alluring dance and she has very intricate body art on her body.
Akasha. (Queen Of The Damned). Aaliyah is/was totally spectacular in this role.
- Grandpa Munster (Mockingbird Lane). I really do wish that Mockingbird Lane would have become a full series rather than just a pilot. I LOVED the pilot, it made for a great halloween special and everything about it was amazing. Especially Eddie Izzard as Grandpa. I love the nods to Bram Stoker's Dracula as well.
- Selene. (Underworld) Mmmm...Kate Beckinsale.
- Regine Dandridge (Fright Night 2). Jerry Dandridge's equally as sexy and alluring sister. Who almost rivals her brother in every way.
- Blade. (Blade). Wesley Snipes is a badass as Blade.
- Maxamillian (Vampire In Brookyln). Damn, Eddie Murphy really does know how to be a chameleon...and keep in mind this is also the same Eddie Murphy who voices Donkey and Mushu and also plays the entire Klump family - and here he is as a cool as hell vampire.
- Vampire MJ (Michael Jackson fandom) - MJ may have passed on but he still lives on within the hearts of his beloved fanbase including yours truly and every MJ fan on Deviantart. As a member of the Michael Jackson fandom - I actually got into the 'Vampire MJ' fanon at a very early stage, I remember I was looking up Michael Jackson's Ghosts when I came across a fansite which had a 'The Dark Side Of Michael Jackson' page which had photomanips of MJ as a vampire including a couple with captions like the 'Remember The Time' one had "Do you remember when I drank your blood?" and the Bad one had: "Want me to drink your blood, babe?". I don't know if that fansite still exists because well...Geocities has passed on, but still..it's good to look back on it though.
- Count Fangula (Big Bad Beetleborgs/Beetleborgs Metallix). No list of vampires would be complete without Hillhurst's resident vampire.
- Dracula's Brides (both 1992 and Van Helsing). Who wouldn't want to be bitten by these vampiric hotties?
- Gangrel (WWF/WWE). The WWF/WWE has had quite a few wrestlers with a supernatural theme, mainly ones like Kane and The Undertaker, Undertaker being basically akin to a zombie minus the whole decaying and eating brains thing - and then there's the resident vampire at the golden age of WWE simply known as Gangrel.
- Kathleen (The Addiction). If you haven't seen the 1995 film The Addiction, you should, it's really interesting, plus it's got Walken in it.
- Mr Burns (The Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror 4). There's no denying that Mr Burns is pure evil, he's genuinely creepy looking and is very sinister...so naturally him as Gary Oldman's version of Dracula was a perfect fit.
- Odette (Transylvania 6-5000). We can't help it, Geena Davis is so adorable!
- Corey Haim (Big Wolf On Campus episode 'Blame It On Haim'). This episode of Big Wolf is what introduced me to the Lost Boys. I love how Corey plays an evil vampiric version of himself in this episode, of course it is another one of those Merton Abuse episodes where Merton ends up being used by the villain or monster in some way.
- Count Von Count (Sesame Street). Everyone's favorite mathematical creature of the night! How many hugs would you give this vamp? I'd give him one hug, two hugs, three hugs, four hugs, five hugs...ah ah ah! *thunder can be heard in the background*
- Mavis (Hotel Transylvania). Oh Mavis, why are you so cute?
- Vampirella (Marvel). The first comic book vampire on this list.
- Razor Charlie (From Dusk Till Dawn). Two words: Danny Trejo.
- Sex Machine. (From Dusk Till Dawn) - he's played by Tom Savini and he has a crotch-gun. Try and find a vampire who owns one of those who isn't Sex Machine..I dare you.
- Draculaura (Monster High). I have a lot of people to thank for becoming a Monster High fan including my friend Darkbullfrog. I think Draculaura is so precious and adorable.
- Nitara (Mortal Kombat). One of many badass warrior chicks in the Mortal Kombat universe and possibly the sexiest next to Mileena.
- Rayne. (Bloodrayne). Sexy and badass.
- David (The Lost Boys). This guy is a very fine example of how vampires should be.
- Marcellline (Adventure Time). Marcelline has her very own fanbase, that's just how awesome she is.
- Lestat (Interview With A Vampire). He needs no introduction.
- Nos 4-A2 (Buzz Lightyear Of Star Command). Well our club is called the Our Vampires Are Different club and this guy is proof of that alone..not only is he not a traditional vamp, but he's an energy vampire and he's a robot. He can also turn humans into wirewolves.
- Mark Kendall. (Once Bitten) - yes, that is a very young Jim Carrey in one of his first film roles.
- Grampire (The Haunting Hour's Grampires). He's a Badass Vampire Grandpa played by Christopher Lloyd, nuff said...I don't really need to say anything else.
- Flutterbat (MLP: FIM). Aaaw..who's a cute little fruit-eating vampony? Flutterbat is...yes she is.
- Max Schreck (Shadow Of The Vampire). Dafoe really did a terrific job playing a version of the legendary actor who turns out to actually be a vampire, and the makeup really sells it.
- Michael Morbius (Marvel). Another famous comic book vamp added to the club.
- Countess (Once Bitten). What can I say...80's movie vampires are amazingly awesome!
- John (The Hunger). It's David Bowie as a vampire. Nuff said.
- Butters (South Park episode The Ungroundables). Okay so Butters doesn't become an actual vampire persay, but he does a good job in the episode when he's a vampire kid...he's funny and cute in so many ways.
- Vampire Santa (Billy And Mandy Save Christmas). You know what makes this Santa different than most traditional Santas? Well for one thing he's a vampire...and secondly, he's voiced by Gilbert Gottfried.
- Count Dracula (Goosebumps Escape From Horrorland video game). Your eyes are not decieving you, that really is Goldblum as a vampire. He plays a Dracula type role in the Goosebumps Escape From Horrorland video game. I'd love to see Goldblum reprise that role for the upcoming Goosebumps movie wouldn't you?
- Kain (Legacy Of Kain/Soul Reaver series). Blood Omen 2 was one of the first Playstation 2 games we've ever played in which we've played as a villain protagonist yet alone one who is a vampire. I always loved playing as this guy because of all the creative kills.
- Count Duckula (Duckula). The one and only vegetarian vampire next to Bunnicula. There is no one else but Duckula, and best of all - he may be a duck but he doesn't sparkle, he doesn't exist solely as eye-candy for love lorn teenagers, he doesn't have to deal with rashes or bladder issues...he's just a funny classic cartoony vampire with British wit thrown in.
- Amy Peterson (Fright Night 1985). Even in her fully vamped state she's still cute.
- Myotismon (Digimon). One of my personal favorite Digimon villains.

95287 I have several I like including Lost Boys, Fright Night 1985, Bram Stoker's Dracula, From Dusk Till Dawn, Once Bitten, and Abel Ferrara's vampire movie The Addiction with Christopher Walken.
95287 All of the vampires have an unique design so not all of them are the same, you have Sex Machine who has that whole 'feral Pseudo-Buffyverse' look, you have Frost who has the whole 'Shark/crocodile' thing going on...and then Sex Machine again who becomes a rat...i'm not sure but I think it's a rat. I guess the changes depend on the characters personalities or traits.

The others like say Razor Charlie...definitely have a Pseudo-Buffyverse look to them, I say Pseudo-Buffyverse because Buffy the tv show aired a year after the movie came out. And then you have ones like the three strippers in that one stand-off scene, in particular the one with the mouth on her stomach which we don't see much of (mainly because it was the only one Tarantino was creeped out by).

Another thing that disappoints me about the show version is some of the casting..in particular Sex Machine...Jake Busey...no..just no. And the actor playing Razor Charlie...he's okay, but Trejo pretty much owns the role.

Some people I know have said that the 1986 movie Vamp with Grace Jones must have at least inspired the movie.
95287 I never got the whole reason why they resemble snakes more than anything like a rat or a bat. I know Robert Rodriguez has said he based it on a blood cult that worships snakes but still....the show doesn't have the same impact as the movie did. And for the record I am calling them 'vampires' and not 'snake-people' because I don't believe they actually are snake-people at all. What about the ones in the movie? Were they snakes? No. Those were vampires. Snake-people do not explode when sunlight hits them and I don't give a fuck how snake-like you think they are. Yes, Rodriguez has said he based the vamps in the movie and show on an ancient Mayan blood cult that worships snakes but that's it! But still...they are vamps and that is that. I am going by the movie here since in the movie they all have vampire weaknesses and FRICKING EXPLODE when sunlight hits them. Therefor, vamps NOT snakes.
