95406 Looking for books about or set in the Flint Hills of Kansas. History, novels, natural history, whatever.

95406 Pickard is good because she is really getting into the character of small towns and rural areas of the state. They are not deeply rich in place setting detail, but the people are real enough. Plots can be a little convoluted. But all in all, a good read and I'll be waiting for the next one.

95406 Any thoughts on the very best Kansas book ever! All time! No holds barred! But set in Kansas or about Kansas.

95406 Not enough murder mysteries set in Kansas. I'll take all suggestions. Am reading the books by Nancy Pickard and enjoying them very much.
