Liz- how is there is no big picture to look at and different then there wasnt a big picture? Chand- The brain thing again. Sigh. Really, as I said before, it says: according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable
Protocol, science says that you have no brain. Not according to what you know.
Paige- ...

That makes no sense. You say that the big picture is that there is not big picture. How can it be both? You just said there was a big picture and then that there wasn't...

Okay. Well, obviously faith isnt just relegion. That was kind of the entire point of the link.
((sorry for double post))

I think your missing the whole point of it... which is faith. Dont you have anything
to say about that?
And, really, stop getting stuck on dumb details. The student explains why the scientist has no brain, okay? Your really not getting the big picture here.
Lauren wrote: "That link is full of fallacy. FAIL".... Ummm okay. Care to take the time to tell us what this fallacy is? Jeez.
... well men are dependent on women to. You guys are all talking about how bad it is for women to be dependent on men, but women kinda have to be to an extent.. I mean you cant extactly make babies with out them.
We have as you say "empirical proof" about some parts of science, as I said. My point was that a like of science we don't have full proof. And, like I said, in the past things believed to be an absolute fact aren't... Yes science is about finding facts. Of course, you get to these facts with guesses of what could be and how could it occure. Why these guesses and theories often are based on evidence, there still only na question. So yes, science does propose guesses (or questions, as that makes more sense)
And, relegion CAN change too. I mean, how do you think we have so many different relgions? And, relegion also can self correct.. my people find relegion and change for the better.
Relegion isn't really out of date. Its been around for thousnds of years and the messages are still clear. Is the wording, people, and places out of date? Yes. The message? No.
Have those of you who don't believe in god even understand the basis of him and others beliefs about him? Because, reading through this, I feel that some of you arn't very knowlegeble of others beliefs. I think that in order to be have a good arguement about anything you have to know a lot about the other side. Also, on the topic of science. Science is great and it teaches us a lot. But, does science have any more proof then relegion? A lot of science is theorys and guessing, that while have evidence, are not nessacliy true. Also consider that things that we believe are true in science are challenged and changed all the time. Think back in hundreds of years ago. All the things that we have proved wrong was what they truly believed in. Who knows what will have changed in science in the next hundreds or thousands of years?
Well, most (i think) people believe that all living things have a soal, whether good or bad.Your body is just a shell that holds a soul. When you die, your soal moves on to... somewhere. Here are profsinal definations: http://dictionary.reference.com/brows...
(sorry if already said)
