Mod note:I hate to be that guy, but let's keep the discussions somewhat on track, and keep the bickering to a minimum. We're all here for a shared love of music. Anything else can be taken to PMs.
Thank you both!It actually only took 3 hours total, surprisingly. The words were done in one sitting, about half an hour, and the lines were done in one sitting of about 2.5 hours.
And it didn't really hurt during the tattooing; it's the couple days after that suck massively. Although getting tattooed on the elbow was pretty bad.
And no, Nermin, it has nothing to do with my life. Nothing at all.
I've been in love with Joy Division for... well, for a very long time. I can't exactly say how long. I might have been 10 when I first heard "Isolation," and I might have been 12. Anyway, this thread isn't about my life: it's about my Joy Division tattoo, which was completed last night.

It was done by Tim Lebron at Shamrock Tattoo Company. The lines were not meant to be straight--we wanted to stay true to the artwork, the reading of the first pulsar discovery in 1967. All in all, despite my arm feeling like it has been skinned, I'm very happy with it.

I love The Danse Society. We can now officially be best friends. The bass line in "Somwhere" is just so fucking perfect .
Sarah wrote: "Haha, no worries, I would be surprised if people knew all the names, of all the members of all the bands they listened to.Yeah, I live in England UK. I forget the US call Uni, College mostly alth..."
No, we're too bland and boring. We call everything 'college,' even if it's a university.

Nermin wrote: "I'm not gonna dye my hair white , nope, no way.."But it's such an appealing hair colour.
Zoran wrote: "Damn singing!Nermin, why won't you sing for us?
Ok, so Jesse, can I make some straight 4/4 drum loop, and drop some simple keyboard chords on top of that, and you can come with some guitar? Can..."
Yes, I can record on my laptop. And that sounds great!
Goth rock sounds perfect. It's a favourite genre of mine, so I'd love to finally get a chance to do something with it. Unfortunately, though, I can not sing. I've been vocalist in about a dozen bands over the years, but each was some form of metal, so I've only developed 'dirty' vocals.
Nermin wrote: "Jesse, how did you make the name of the albums and the artist appear in the corner?"You have to click the top where it says 'Click here to configure the layout of your collage.'
Sarah wrote: "I enjoy listening to The Smiths, also here is some random pointless trivia, Johnny Marr's real name is John Maher, the same name as my dad...as well as the drummer of Buzzcocks...anyway..I adore ..."
I knew that Marr's real last name was Maher, but I never knew that John Maher was the name of the Buzzcocks' drummer. For a person who owns all their albums, that makes me look pretty damn bad hahah.
Uni? Do you live in Europe?
'How Soon Is Now' was actually the first song by The Smiths I ever heard, on the US version of 'Meat is Murder.' It's another great place to start.
If I can find the extra time, I might be willing to jump in on this. I'm a music teacher, and a guitarist of over a decade. I've been looking for something fun to do that wouldn't involve tons of time-consuming band practice, hahah.

Thanks:)
Sisters of Mercy - under the gun"
Terri Nunn adds so much atmosphere to the song. It's a shame Berlin was only known for "Take My Breath Away." They had some good tunes.
